I see this story as somekind of humorous antipairing fanfiction. It makes fun of every pairing the author can think of. The story does not try to hide what it is, that will say "Crack". It´s as mentioned before good for a cheap laugh, and not much else. A good fit for this thread.

 

From what you've said it sounds like it's based off the manga Yomeiro Choice.

Yeah was thinking the same thing tragicmat1. Depending on the way it finishes the Rusty Heart arc, it could definitely be Library quality.

 

In the search of decent Rosario+Vampire stories, I found something that could end up interesting. There really isn't much there unfortunately. Author says that the story won't be too long though.

I also have a minor problem with Tsukune's actions at a point but something I can get over for the sake of story, and the lack of other R+V stories.

A story where Jaime dies and Cersei Lannister marries Eddard Stark. It's very short right now, only 10k words, but I found the premise very interesting. It deals with how Cersei, a southern belle deals with Winterfell. The writing is not bad, and I think it captured her behavior very nicely, but there is a severe lack of detail. The intricacies that would be involved in such a major change are not explained at all.

Just finished reading this and it was a pretty fresh idea and interesting enough. Basically, Sakura gets coerced into being Kabuto's spy when she's in the Academy. It ends up being a pretty cool premise. Her character development is pretty cool. She's forced to actually treat being a ninja seriously (for all the wrong reasons) and at one point, seems to almost take pride in her role.

My main issues with it are that Sakura's role in Orochimaru/Kabuto's plans seem to be a bit more important than they should be. She also seems to be exposed to sensitive information that she shouldn't be.

Bit of a fun oddity I found yesterday, starts in between seasons two and three of MLP and happens a bit after Spiderman goes to a parallel universe and saves it with the help of three other spidermen ( I don't know what the arc is called and can't find it).
It starts off with a few bumps but the first chapter ends well. I like that it hasn't done cannon rehash outside of a few repeat events. That is to say that these events occurred earlier in the MLP series and similar events happen.
Peter can be a bit emo in the beginning but that goes away fairly quickly.
It has a few grammatical errors here and there but a good timewaster.

Spider-Mane wat. Surely that should be Stallion not Mane.

 

It's a pun. A lot of the MLP stuff has daft puns - Stalliongrad (even though it isn't just filled with males), Las Pegasus (even though it is usually isn't a floating city), Fillydelphia (even though it isn't just young females that live there), and so on.

 

If it were Spider-mare this would make sense, however mane is hair not gender.

 

Heads up for F/SN fans:

Shattered Blade by DrakeValkyr is yet another take on In Flight. A fanfic of a fanfic, if you will. Right out of the gate, I like it more. Here's why:

- Shirou is an Enforcer. What's that mean for the story? No more I'm running from the Clock Tower bullshit. He's in Shin Tokyo on vacation.

- More Karasuba. This is always a good thing.

- A WHOLE LOT LESS INTROSPECTION.

- Shirou is not a replacement for Minato. Which means this won't (or at least, shouldn't) be a complete canon rehash for 600,000 words.

Of course, it's not perfect. So far, instead of a canon rehash, it's an In Flight rehash, just with the fat trimmed off. At the end of chapter 3 the author actually commented on this.

I'm not gonna hold my breath; I've learned my lesson. But with any luck, maybe this story will turn out better than Gabe's.

 

It wouldn't be the first time I've considered taking a knife to In Flight and making it a much leaner story.

Unless it has to deal with that bloody Eyima clan stuff but hell even that died off.

 

Well either I suck at search or you get those fics from some place I have never heard off. Spinoffs tend to far worse than the fic itself.

 

As much as I dislike In Flight, I consider it a positive thing - it's galvanizing people to write FSN stories? Or maybe. Hopefully? The fandom is much too small. It could die off too easily, especially considering the Nasuverse won't be getting any new official stories after Fate/Extra CCC. He's either retiring, or coming up with a new universe to work on. (Or this is his stubborn attempt to not be known as "The Fate guy" for the rest of his life)

 

Nah, there will be at least a little. For all the jokes Tsukihime is likely to have both a remake with added content and a sequel.

Or you meant just the fate part of Nasuverse? Because there is still both Tsukihime and Notes both which are going to be expanded at some point.
