Well of course, but I was referring to its derivation and use in canon (presumably differentiated from its age and notoriety as a concept in this world), and IIRC, it was mentioned that Dumbledore was the first to apply the phrase to their endeavors.

The point being that he turned away from it. Associating a young Dumbledore who was still considering joining Grindelwald with the phrase is one thing. Associating Dumbledore as we usually see him with a phrase he coined in his youth, in a discussion with a man he later fought about philosophies he disavowed, is wrong. Nauro's post linked above puts it quite well.

 

I'm not saying he endorsed it in his later years or that he didn't turn away from it, but I felt it worthwhile to acknowledge that it wasn't just some phrase of Grindelwald's for him to turn away from so much as one he personally articulated and had a hand in developing.

EDIT: I think a great deal of his shame and guilt over that whole phase of his life has to do with the consequences of a philosophy he had supported and helped to conceive.

Also, he was more than "considering" joining Grindelwald. Nor did he "refuse" to join him. He already had, and the only thing that stopped him from following through with their plan was the death of his sister.

Wonderful girl. Never worked with children, but must be difficult to be a child actor and keep your shit together. But then I guess a lot of the Disney kids who have grown up to be train crashes are evidence enough of this.

 

Seriously? I don't know the girl, she could be the bestest person in the world, but I tend to take what people say in front of the cameras with a grain of salt.
I hope you're basing your judgement on more than this. I know she's hot and all, but come on.
