D: You can smartcast items too!? My life just got better.

 

I bound all of my item slots and summoners to smartcast within a day or two of doing the same to my abilities. Obviously, mistakes happen, but more often than not, the increase in reaction time is a larger benefit.

 

Now that I think about it, could I potentially bind my target champion only key onto say one of my extra mouse buttons? It only has 2 on the side but they're easily within reach of my thumb and I think it would get simpler given a few games to warm up with it.

 

I have one for laugh while playing Lux or Leblanc, the other for joke while playing Alistar.

Personally, I can't really fathom playing that way, even if conceptually I can understand what advantages sort of exist. Usually my camera is roughly set with me at the edge of the screen, with vision of the rest of the lane and/or jungler trajectories taking priority.

Also, Lux ults. 'Nuff said.

 

Smartcasting is amazing. I started doing it when playing support so much. The beauty of smart casting a Taric stun means that even a smidge in range and it casts, potentially snagging a good kill.

But Rumble's Ult and Viktor's E are not that difficult to land on smart cast. It's like point and drag. I've gotten so used to them I could snipe the wings off a fly with those abilities on smart cast.

 

Every time I've tried to smartcast Rumble's ult I end up going backwards or something, I completely forget the drag part for a while.

Another rookie question too - I've noticed some pro's somehow magically skip to their allies without even clicking on the minimap - I assume this ties into the function keys somehow, the same way it does with spectating where 1 - 5 and q - t are for the respective members of both teams. I'd love to be able to do that kind of thing just to see how lanes are doing without wasting time moving my mouse to the minimap etc, be a lot faster.

 

F1-5 jumps the camera to members of your team. F1 is you, then 2-5 is in the same order as the champion portraits to the left side of the screen, I think.

 

I've tried Smart Casting Rumble ulti but it just feels awkward to me. Normal casting it feels more fluid.

Everyone should definitely create a Custom Game and just fool around with ALL the settings. It's really annoying that you can't change them out of a game, but what can you do.

 

Patch notes are up and the patch itself should be going live tonight/this morning depending on your timezone, unsure about Oceanic though.

Not a bad patch, though yet another pointless hit to Hecarim even though it's minor makes me question what Riot want from him.

Lucian looks great, though his passive terrifies me and makes me wonder if he'll become the new Draven given as it has no CD, shall see based off of his kit but there's already a dozen if not more combo's that would instantly suck to lane against when Lucian's brought into the equation.

 

Recently got to Gold V finally. Took forever, now waiting for Fenraellis to join me. Sad that he only gets around 4 LP per win.

If this makes my TP jungle Yi even better I will love Riot forever. Lucian looks pretty scary, I think.
