Borderlands 2 + BL2 season pass + BL 1 GOTY edition for $22 on amazon.
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D8FUHFC

This is a great deal. BL2 and the season pass retail for around $60 together. And recently getgames had the season pass on sale for $10. The site then pulled it at the request of Gearbox because Gearbox released the last dlc this week. So it might be a little bit before the season pass is on sale alone.

Edit: Even if you already have BL2, trades for the season pass should be a lot more reasonable while the sale is ongoing.

Rotastic is free on GMG, if you choose GMG credit!

Edit: Possibly dead, out of stock. No clue if GMG will restock before the flash sale is over.

Okay, not exactly a sale but steam seems to have Final Fantasy 7 for 13 €. Think I will wait for a bit before I get that one but I didn't know you could have a pc version of the old FF games. Seems awesome enough.

The PC version of Final Fantasy VII kind of sucks compared to playing the original on PSX and a TV. It was released on PC fifteen years ago.

Even worse, Square re-released it last year with achievements, cloud saves, zero improvements to character models, graphics or music, only 30 days to download it before revoking access, and their own always-online DRM solution. As usual it was the DRM that borked the release for all of the paying customers.

    http://na.square-enix.com/go/thread/view/139347/29273325/Final_Fantasy_VII_PC_DRM_is_borked

I was wondering if it had been fixed yet, but according to a GOG poster two months ago it hasn't.

It's possible that the Steam bought version doesn't require you to make a Square-Enix account, and doesn't require Securom codes, and isn't always-online, but you're probably best just waiting for a while. See if the Steam page updates with new details about the DRM [it's common for Steam game pages to initially have no DRM info, only to have the info later]. Keep an eye on the complaints in the Steam Community forums.

Steam Summer Sale could start any moment and FF7 may be cheaper then.

Mods mods mods. FF7 has die hard fans, so there are currently developed music and graphics mods out there. Last I checked they even worked with the new re-release [from the Squeenix site, not sure about Steam version] essentially by downgrading the re-release version back to the arguably superior 1998 PC version, and then applying the mods. As a consequence if you want to mod it you won't have any Squeenix achievements or cloud saves, but that's no great loss.

Remember, check that the Steam version is compatible with FF7 mods before purchase. They'll transform the PC game into an improved version of the PSX one. You can see what a modded FF7 looks and sounds like here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsOW6y4gCpk

This is the big FF7 mod: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=12008.0
    And installation instructions: http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?topic=13212.0

I haven't actually used that mod yet, but I've been keeping an eye on FF7 because I plan to get around to re-playing it some day.

edit: LOL, FlyingOctopus. You can be our guinea pig. Tell us how it goes.

I started the game quickly so i could answer a few of your question Yak.

When I installed my game and wanted to play, it gave me the choice of making a Square-Enix account (as you said) or use my Facebook account.
I didn't feel like making a new account just for the game so I went with the Facebook account.
In this case they ask access to your birth-date, friends list and your e-mail. After that they ask if they may post on you and your friends FB wall but you can skip it.

As for graphics; I've never played FF7 before (wich is the reason why I bought it) but there is a pre-game options menu where you can choose for the Old Graphics, so it's supposed to be better. The graphics are not as detailed as the modded version atleast.

In the same pre-game options menu you can choose to put Cloud on or off and set your keyboard keys however you like. I played a few minutes and a keyboard feels kind of clunky, but maybe I just need to get used to it.
There is also an option for a Joystick but I haven't seen anything about a controller, wich will be a lot better then a keyboard if it works.

I'm not going to play more at this time because I'm sick and going back to bed, but I'll try to find out more for you when I feel better.

(I'm sorry if there are weird sentences or grammatical errors, my english is not very good.)

About the controller, the Steam page says "Partial Controller Support". It won't work well with an XBox 360 controller. Something about XInput vs. DirectInput.

There might be a workaround somewhere.

Derp, double-layered DRM on a game they're re-releasing at a lower quality than the original from 15 years ago.

    No thanks.

Using the XBCD driver would probably fix that, though it's kind of sad that it's even an issue.

EDIT: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed free weekend and all Sonic games are 75% off. A fantastic Mario Kart-style racer with a bunch of PC exclusive characters and online multiplayer. Totally worth picking up. Sonic Generations is brilliant too.

UNepic is kinda awesome, only 7€ so I bought it, and it makes me laugh. There are tons of references and cameos from other games and movies. If you can buy it and play it, it's worth it.

Questions about Bioshock: Infinite - Do you need to have played previous Bioshock games to understand it?

Are there many jump scares or horror-like elements in the game?

I'm an absolute bitch when it comes to games with jump scares and stuff like that, but Infinite seems pretty light in general from what I've seen of screenshots.

Also, it's funny how Steam gets overloaded every time a sale starts.
