It's just a measure of how much you have played. Each time you go up a level, you have a 100% chance to get a random cosmetic item (in addition to a small chance of getting one after every game).

You can see broadly where you're at by going to

Watch -> Recent then putting in your exact steam name and selecting very high/high/normal.

In August 2012, the amount of games played on a given day was as follows

    88,499 – Normal (80.5%)
    17,702 – High (16.1%)
    3,652 – Very High (3.3%)
    109,853 – Total

Sup... Ellisande? Honestly, name changes confuse me. At least you kept your avatar.

Anyway, I'm up for some games over the weekend if you want someone to play with. I'm only at like level 4 or something.

I wouldn't mind playing a few games with you, but I'm playing on SEA, which I hear is pretty brutal ping-wise to Aus players. Aus servers give me 200+ ping, I'd guess you'd get the same on mine.

Same here, just got 10 keys if anyone needs. Had to learn what steam was to download it ;(

Obviously I've been living in a cave the past few years.

I bought early access to DOTA 2 six hours ago.

A few minutes ago they took the early access purchase off of the steam store page, indicating that they are going to release the game soon.

I can't tell you how fucking smart I feel right now.

Anyway. Looks like the game is coming out of beta, folks.

Hey, I've still got a hell of a lot of invites yet if they still work, also does anyone want to make a dlp guild for dota?

I haven't played a while and pubs are becoming so frustrating lately with the levels.

Also does anyone else watch a bit of the pro dota scene?

I just watched the Alienware cup which showed some fantastic play. I'll probably not watch anything until The International III now though. I'm still getting used to the scene.

...I'd contact support. Really, that's just dumb enough that they might take pity on you and let you return it. :p

At any rate, this game is amazing, I've been playing it constantly for the last month and a half.

Yea, I've been watching the alienware cup too and have been waiting for the International next month.

It would be great to know if anyone is interested in making a dlp guild. At the moment it's driving me crazy that people will just abandon any game since its become public. I'm not that high level but I would like to play more with people that don't just up and leave.

    Let me know please

I let the game go because of the poor balance, lack of support mechanics, mobility creep, lack of responsive UI, and punishing gameplay. It wasn't fun in other words.

I'm interested, sure. I can play on US EU and the South African server. Pretty active too. Play about 100 hours each month.

    AridLegion on Steam.

Wouldn't mind, but can only really play on SEA. Anywhere else, my ping is 200-250 at a good time.

I am playing quite a lot recently and am getting very competitive. My experience is not that great to be honest but I do try and aim for the win rather than individual glory.

I only play on Australian servers due to ping issues though. Feel free to add me for a game if you would like.

Add TheWiseTomato on Steam and I'll be keen for a game every now and then. Not a hardcore player, but I'm not terrible either. Can't take much more soloqueue. Mah soul~~~
