Hmm. Well, at least we know Menace has a gun. That's something.

My reasoning for lynching Schrodinger was basically that if he does have a NK tonight, killing him will avert it, while mafia will kill tonight regardless of what we do. There are still arguments for gunning for mafia though, since that would help us figure out who the remaining scum are. If you've handed out a gun, I think that somewhat alleviates the latter issue, since we could simply ask Menace to target someone the town feels is scummiest, and get our answer come morning.

As far as Rents goes, I'm seriously saying we should ask for a replacement, if possible. I agree with respect to Smile, though, and would consider him the best target for a nightkill. Thoughts?

A third option is we could go for scum with both. Lynch the person we consider scummiest, and build theoretical scumteams with or without that person. Then Menace can use the resulting flip to choose a target. Plenty of people still consider Schrodinger to be potential mafia, so he's likely enough to crop up here as well. Other common players to be included are Smile, Rents and Typhon.

 

What the fuck... that was too much information right there, Typhon. The Menace bit, I mean. But since it's out, why Menace?

which was posted before Aekiel stated he had been the one to kill Wetnurse, and seems to indicate that the two of them share a QT (outside chance of Smile sharing it with Typhon), which means odds are they are scum.

And this reeks of inside knowledge of the scum-kill.

Aren't replacements usually requested by the person? Rents has been on the site recently, he just hasn't posted. I'd say we just need to put pressure on him today, and target him if he doesn't post much. I'd really like to see a readwall. I wouldn't say it has to be super detailed, I'm just interested in his opinions of most of the players.

I'm 100% okay with revealing my role, since apparently, I haven't done shit so far and I'm getting shoehorned into a role I'm not actually playing. To the people who think I'm a third party serial killer with a alt wincon: if you feel that way, explain why I would bring up alternate win conditions, when it would be in my interest to just pretend to be as boring and townie as possible and hope nobody thinks of it? Also, tell me who you think I NK'd and why.

To Moridin: Yes, the Wiggin family thing was a joke. They're like the ultimate Mary Sue trio: the unbelievably kind Valentine, the brilliant and psychotic Peter, and... Ender. Blech. I hate that book. (Ender's Shadow is much better.)

Uh, yeah. Dunno if I'd have revealed who I gave the gun to, but since he did I'll confirm Typhon's post. Also, I was the one who made the kill on Fen Night 1 due to a spark of motivation from the late Sesc. Support roles are digging me this game, I guess.

What? How does that indicate sharing a QT? I logged on, saw that Wetnurse was Bean and told people so that we'd all know who the scum killed. If anything this indicates that Smile is part of the Mafia and that he was talking more about Fontisian than Wetnurse.

Current scumteam for me is looking more like Rubicon/Smile/Menace with either Typhon or one of the inactives making up the fourth.

 

Hmmm... you're kinda right, I was overthinking it. His wording only really hinted at knowledge of at least one kill not being from scum, which could simply mean that he is scum and knew they only had one target that night, and not that he's in a QT with you and knew you had been given a kill.

 

I think Menace's post should doubly prove that I'm not third-party warlock. Again, I'd rather not have to roleclaim, but I'd rather do that than get lynched. What's the vote count?

Sorry, I'm not paying as much attention to this game as I could be. Typhon was in my notes as potential scum from earlier in the day and I haven't updated them properly yet.

So here's my thinking right now. I'm pretty much satisfied with everyone posting right now except for Schrodinger. That means that even if Schrodinger turns out to be scum, we'll still have half (plus or minus one?) of a scum team to deal with.

So unless Aekiel and Stojil are scumbuddies, there's more than one scum in the group of inactive players right now. I'll go with the one that I think is scummiest thus far.

What are you guys thinking for my gun kill? Schrodinger isn't third party, or at least not a Serial Killer variant, so we could kill him if we wanted. I'm not liking Bob99's posts as much as Pro's and Caesar's, so he could be an option as well. Let's starting working this out, folks.

I'm not totally against lynching an inactive (although Smile would be much better, IMO), but the way you seemed to have reached this conclusion sucks donkey balls. Why are you not even considering Smile, Moridin and Kalas as possible scum?

Personally, I'm thinking that it doesn't make sense for you to have it, while it makes little sense that you had it on night 1. Until Typhon gives me a good explanation about this, both mechanically and rationally, I'm going to be very skeptical about the whole thing.

 

I said he isn't a Serial Killer third party, and thus we don't have to worry about him killing one of us if we decide to NK him instead of lynching him. Unless you're trying to tell me that scum hasn't made a single kill all game, we've accounted for all the deaths. I killed Fen, scum killed Sesc, you killed Wetnurse, and scum killed Font.

Hehe, I'll be honest, I forgot about Smile's post of reads for a second. Was lumping him in with the other inactives. As for Moridin and Kalas, I have a strong town read on the former and a town-ish read on the latter. I think it's more likely that scum are just trying to lay low as long as possible in the form of an inactive than Kalas being scum.

That's... nice? I'm telling you flat out that I have a free kill for Night 3 that Typhon has owned up to giving me, and one way or another I'm going to kill someone with it (unless I die first, but whatever). Whether that's a scum read we all agree on together, or just one of my personal reads, is entirely up to you.

 

So I just lost my job, I've been dealing with RL bullshit constantly the last week and I apologize, if this post isn't satisfactory, I'll make another around 11 am PDT July 24 even if I have none before that.

I don't do readwalls, because I treat mafia games a little too lax for other people. I watch, I vote, I perform Night Actions if I have any, I roleplay in my QT tons if I'm invested in the theme fandom (Dresden), and I just try to have fun. that's why I play.

I only gave a three person team because whoever asked for teams happened to ask for three names, I know someone commented that this was strange, but I was just fulfilling the request.

If Typhon really gave Menace an instakill, then I'm pretty sure that makes them both Town in my book. If Menace is lying and they're part of a scumteam and kill in the night, then claim that was the instakill, that's a problem. I think Menace should announce who he's going to kill, but only if we're sure the doctor won't protect that person. Or is it unblockable menace?

I think undeniable town or godly scum at this point are Aek, Moridin, and Stojil. I think hapless town/derptown are myself, and Kalas, I have no read on caesar or bob... substitutions do that to me. I think doubtful alignments are Menace and Typhon. Smile is just plain... lynchable, I dislike how he posts in every game no matter what, so I have no read on him. I think Schro is scum or a serial killer because he's just nuts like smile. he's out there like shittyscum but he doesn't feel wrong.

If I didn't mention someone, that means they're reeeeally forgettable and a good lurker.

I'm decent at reading, at guessing roles, even if I can never match the insanity of WH:E where I pretty much was god then slept in.

Again, I want to apologize, I'm really sorry I wasn't active enough, it was RL in the way, though I admit if this had a setting I was really really into I wouldn't have been out for as long between posts, they'd just be as short and only appearing when I really wanted to say something.

There, exhaustive vote tracking updated. Still haven't scoured it for connections like I should; maybe I can manage that in a bit. However, I can give you the rationale on me revealing, as well as why I gave the gun to Menace.

My opinion of Menace has been up in the air for a lot of the game, admittedly, but there were a few solid points in his favor, especially at the time that I gave him the gun (pre-night kills). He didn't really fit with my scum team, due to having few particularly notable interactions with Smile, the fact that nobody besides Rubicon or Schrodinger have anything consequential with Rents, and... I'm still uncertain about the last man. I doubt it's Schrodinger. He doesn't fit. It could be one of our replacement lurkers in bob and Prophylaxis, or it could be somebody else. I thought it might've been font, but her night kill has thrown me off kilter. Frankly, Stojil and Aekiel are starting to worry me at this point; we all know Rubicon can be ballsy as scum, and that would explain a couple things. I'll get back to you with a revised scum team after I mine the votes for more.

Anyways, I digress. The point is Menace didn't appear to be scum, his scum list (while it didn't exactly mirror my own) contained no targets that I felt like the town couldn't do without, and it had the tertiary effect of confirming his allegiance if we agree on who to kill like this. I'm reasonably certain he's town, but if this doesn't go down exactly as we agree on it to, then he dies tomorrow. That would put us 2 scum down, guaranteed.

Either way, my role is more dangerous as multiple scum remain and the day goes on, as I /have/ to hand out guns. My death would almost benefit the town this way, while providing a test (with a high upside) to a player that several of us have conflicting opinions about.

 

Alright guys, I have news. Of the four people voting for Rents (Schro, Typhon, Bob and Menace) only two are town. I know this because I am the town empath and once per game I may check a lynch wagon and find out how many town are on it. Schro seems a pretty good bet for one of the non-townies but beyond that I'm far too tired to analyse. I will say that Typhon has looked more town to me today than previously but I've only been skimming posts.
