Does anyone know of some complete hp crack fics or at least ones that don't stop updating on a cliffhanger or the barest beginnings of a plot.

 

I never really considered the Fantastic Elvess stories to be crack, more fun and light hearted. Which is actually more what I was hoping for I suppose.

Ok. Looking for a fic I read awhile ago.

1. H/G, R/H
2. Post DH
3. Harry and Ron are in auror training
4. Harry and Ron breeze through the tests. Competently.
5. Harry had to deal with a vampire as one part of the tests. The vamp was impressed with how he did it.
6. The last part of the test involved them evading a bunch of aurors that were supposed find them. Ron gets the tent from Hermione, who's also working in the ministry (DRCMC?), and they actually camp out in the auror dept invisibly. Kreacher brings them food, IIRC.
7. While they're camping out in the auror dept, someone (death eater?) breaks in and steals some files.

It wasn't a very good story, but I remember that one scene had me literally splitting my sides in laughter.

 

I kinda want to read it. So somebody who is a google fu master use your force and find it for me!

 

I thought that I was a google-fu master, but I couldn't get the number of search results under 1000, even limiting hits to fanfiction.net.

 

I don't think so. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I saw it.

Possible, though. Stuff gets removed without warning from ff.net all the time.

 

I'm pretty sure I read that story, if it's old, then it was probably on hpff, and might still be there.

A post-war fanfic featuring an alcoholic Harry. He's lost touch with Ron and Hermione and separated from Ginny. Draco Malfoy finds him in a pub and sobers him up - it's not slash. Harry and Draco become friends, with Harry becoming his best man in his wedding to Astoria. There're elements of Harry/Daphne but no actual relationship.

Hermione is running roughshod over the Ministry, using Harry's name to force her reforms through even though they haven't spoken in months. It's a completed fic. Harry and Draco apply for positions at Hogwarts.

Harry Potter and a Time to Live

It's on FF.net, but the version on SIYE appears to be way longer. I finally found it by pointing google at SIYE just for the hell of it.

 

I had high hopes for this fic, but after 2 sentences that hope died a sudden and gruesome death inside me.

EDIT: I learned a new word: travails means a : work especially of a painful or laborious nature : toil
b : a physical or mental exertion or piece of work : task, effort
c : agony, torment
not a misspelt version of trouble or travel.

I was just looking for one scene that made me laugh, and I found it.

 

I just re-read Rectifier and it's got me wanting more Tom Riddle stories. Ideally Tom Riddle as an adult rather than as a child, and preferably a definite Tom Riddle rather than Voldemort protagonist. I remember reading one or two ages ago, but nothing stands out as good in my memory. Has anyone come across something like this?
