I was thoroughly disappointed by the fact the movie isn't about the sex position described in the title.

Dredd was a cool, underrated, movie, Pacific Rim however is my biggest disappointment this year. The only positive aspect was the action and even that was often simply too stupid and the rest of the story/acting isn´t worth mentioning.

Eh, you shouldn't really expect amazing acting from a movie about giant robots killing godzillas. Personally, I thought it was a perfect summer film. Awesome fight scenes, giant robots killing shit, and a girl saying stuff in japanese before slicing a monster in half with a giant sword. I mean, come on.

Well I got dragged to World War Z despite not being keen on seeing it.

I guess I'll echo what someone else said earlier (I think, I don't want to read back through the thread): it's an okay zombie movie on its own, but as an adaptation of the novel it just fails completely. Retitle the thing to, I don't know, 28 Months Later or The Running Dead and I'd probably like it better.

So, this caused the fanboy in me to go gaga.

Superman and Batman to team up in a movie. Zack Snyder announced it. Henry Cavill will continue as Superman where as the actor who will take the role of Batman is not yet decided. It's coming out in 2015.

Damn, I came to the thread to post exactly that.

We all knew it was coming. Fingers crossed it won't suck.

Henry Cavil was the only truly good thing in the movie, well Diane Lane was excellent, but her role was small so it doesn't really count. Looking forward to the movie, and maybe, if Batman's actor is someone I like, really looking forward to it.

Just saw a CAM RIP of Turbo...

Holy fuck I wish I had went to the theater for this one and seen it in 3D.

It was everything Despicable Me 2 was supposed to be.

    So awesome.

If you have kids or You're a hopeless kid yourself ( like me ), You should watch this in the theater in 3D.

But fair warning, it's basically a feel good movie but incredibly well done for such weird ass plot that I thought was failtastic at first.

    Very entertaining.

On a side note, its awesome how the various classic soundtracks fit into the scenes.

This looks awesome, though IDK if it will be released in 2013 or 2014.

Knights of Badassdom. It is about LARPing, and it has Peter Dinklage, Danny Pudi, and Summer Glau, along with quite a few other actors I really like.

    The trailer is pretty funny.

Just found out that the next Percy Jackson movie is about to be released. Did that seem like a long time between films to anyone else?

It's good to see this is finally coming out, because I've been wanting to see it for ages. It started filming in 2010 and was apparently in post production by 2012 but has been repeatedly delayed. I'll be severely dissapointed if it is anything less than awesome considering the cast.

I saw this a while ago, I had no idea it was still in post-production, and especially for so long. I feel though that the cast would produce nothing less than awesome story telling.

Yes but if I had to hazard a guess as to why it's very simply because the first one sucked donkey balls. I love the book series and I try very hard not to bitch when a movie takes....."creative liberties" with the book plot line but they made only the most minimally token effort to even make it about the same thing much less stick close to it. The solitary reason Im willing to give the second one a chance is because of Nathan Fillion being in it.

Exactly this. I saw it in 3D Imax and it was exactly what I was looking for. Fight scenes with a little bit of back story.

Saw Pacific Rim, in 3D Imax. It barely managed to engage my brain or heart, but god-damn if it wasn't all kinds of awesome.

They couldn't have just CGI remade Land Before Time? :( I would've watched the shit out of that.
