That's like making CGI TMNT.... it would never work. Land before time was good as it was, leave it alone.

The day the remake Don Bluth, or any of the old classic animated films with fucking CGI is the day animation is officially dead.

I couldn't watch that if they did, knowing what happened to the girl who voiced Ducky is like a bullet right in the childhood.

Wasn't Land Before Time a complete turd that only spawned more turds?

Yup. Each successive turd more painful than the previous one. That pretty much defined Land before Time to me.

    ^_^

At one time, I had even thought the westerners were dumping their third rate cartoons on us when there was a Land before Time movie every other Sunday on Cartoon Network .

I was 13 back then and Toonami had also stopped showing DBZ at the same time.

The original Land Before Time was great, I don't know what you're going on about. The sequels were shit, but Bluth and Spielberg (EDIT: And George Lucas apparently? Huh.) had nothing do with those. Just watch the original and forget the rest exist.

In 1988, after years of physical and mental abuse, her father, József, shot and killed Judith and her mother Maria in a double murder–suicide.

Id put this in spoilers if Schro hadn't already said something but yeah, her father was a psychopath who regularly beat on her mom in front of her and finally snapped killing them both and then himself. I never heard a word about it for a long time but I was flipping around through a bunch of random sites about a year ago and I saw something about it so I looked it up. Tragic as hell :(.

Well I just got back from The Wolverine and I have to say it was pretty cool. I liked the Japanese setting and the actors were doing their job well. This movie is light years beyond X-Men Origins.

This film is an example of less than its parts. Some of the characters were interesting and the setting felt exotic fitting into the Wolverine japan connection. Though the other mutant character wasn't really developed at all.
The plot was paper thin with a resolution you could see miles before. Removing the main villain almost completely out of the whole film was a huge mistake and is probably one of the reason why I didn't really care much about the ending. It left me unsatisfied.

Destroying his adamantium claws which makes him pretty much worthless as a mutant against powerful opponents or technology felt like a stupid gimmick to drive this film.

Comparing this film to the first Wolverine is difficult. The film obviously had better cinematic values and was deeper while the first was more superficial and pulp like. But the plot and the different x-men characters/cameos felt more interesting to me.
