UPDATE! In 'times like these'.
I got to say, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite fics, Stan the Man don't let no one tell him what to do, no one!

 

I just picked this up a few hours ago and am more than halfway through. This and In Good Company are remarkable pieces of fan fiction. I can tell I'm emotionally invested because this is making me depressed.

I much prefer this Stannis to the Azor Azhai version.

 

Water Dancers is complete.


The third act was a complete let down: aside from introducing new characters (Dany, etc) and letting them resolve the conflict, the author also made Dany more than a bit OC. The tension of the first two chapters was completely lost, and it all seemed pretty aimless.

 

Why does DLP hate Sansa/Sandor?

Its an awesome pairing.

 

I don't necessarily hate the pairing as much as I dislike Sansa in general. She was such a prissy little bitch in the beginning of the series and it pretty much ruined her character for me. She also didn't do anything badass to redeem herself either - wait, I'm sorry, she put that twitchy little shit sweet Robin in his place. On the other hand Sandor is badass and witty at times and I like his interactions with Arya more than I like the time he spent with Sansa in King's Landing.

I also dislike the pairing because it holds the #1 spot on Ao3 for a fucking modern!AU story! Why do people enjoy those stories so much?!

On another note, new update to Ned Stark Lives...at this point I just want to see how it ends.

 

I like Sansa more then Arya actually. Especially the way she had to deal with all the stuff at King's Landing.

But yeah. Modern AU stories are retarded.

 

While I largely agree, I've seen one or two that were good. I'll try to find their links. And I don't dislike Sansa, but I do loath Arya. To each their own.

Yes. Was trying to link chapter 42. Didn't work very well.

 

Chapter was better than the last two, but I can't help but feel i'm getting increasingly ambient about the whole story. Not sure what to say about the latest revelation either, I feel like i'm supposed to care more about it than I actually do, but i'd rather read about killing Freys, however underwhelming that turned out to be.

 

Took me half the chapter to realize that was Jon's wife

 

Calling it now. Jon will marry Mya but then realize Lya is still alive. But it'll all be okay, because he'll find out he's a Targaryan and polygamy is all cool.

 

Ned Stark 2 updated...even moar romance! No doubt Tyrion will bone the wench and fall in love like every other character in this story!

And Jaime didn't even lose the hand! I swear the saddest thing in this story so far was the death of Tywin.
