I remember reading this back in 2009 or something, and I can recall quite a lot of details. Such as the ridiculous term "Deaters", every chapter ending with a list of every intentional reference, the OC girlfriend Eliza and Harry smoking weed (that came out of nowhere I thought), Harry and Hermione sharing a bond that allows them to feel the emotions of the other, Harry using a spell to give Dudley an orgasm (and then he gave one to Hermione in a training match), Hermione bitching to Harry about some porn or something. And so many more.

I stopped reading when Hermione started bitching about the Black fortune having some Nazi gold in it or something. Or maybe it was when Hermione broke Harry's ankle during another training match in front of Dumbledore's Army, and then Harry had to use a walking stick for a few days, instead of getting it fixed immediately. Whichever scene came first was when I stopped.

I'll give it a 3/5 for managing to keep my interest for over 500,000 words or so, although I often skimmed because I didn't want to get bogged down in the ridiculously unimportant details.

 

I've just finished Chapter 38. Its very well crafted, the plot is great, Harry/OC romance was very well done. The Air explosion scene was brilliant. What I like the most is the characterisation.

I was unable to read despite my ability to like almost any story about Hermione. It was so slow moving that it killed the story. (1/5)

 

I finished reading this. The whole fic is like a teenage drama show. The fic went downhill after Eliza was killed. Hermione is perfect, everyone around her worships her. She is an annoying bitch throughout the whole fic which is why it pleased me when she caught Harry fucking Ginny. Harry is a complete pussy who bends over and just puts up with everything. He only grows a backbone when he is under the love potion. Ron and Ginny are portrayed in typical portkey style. Dumbledore as a useless representation of authority constantly rubbing people the wrong way. That aside all other characters were done well especially Malfoy who Bexis managed to actually make him a competent villain and actually act like s Slytherin. The action scenes throughout the fic was brilliant. I enjoyed his fleshed out wizarding world which was unique. The fic is full of cliches but its very well done. The plot held my interest till the end and was entertaining. If he writes a sequel I will definitely read it. This fic definitely deserves to be in the Library.

Despite my complaints I still rate it 5/5 purely on how unique the whole fic was.

 

I stopped reading at the mention of Bose-Einstein Condensate.

Please leave that shit to Baxter and the Xeelee.

 

I haven't finished this monster yet - furthest I got in the past was to somewhere between the high 50s and low 60s in chapters.

Does it just cover the summer before 6th year & that school year, and the war is still going on? If so, anyone know if Bexis has any plans for a 7th year sequel? While I'd appreciate the resolution to the war, I'm just not sure I want to wait another 8-10 years to see its completion.....

 

Yeah it only covers till the end of sixth year. It ends pretty much like HBP though far better than the book. As for the sequel I have no idea. Its still worth reading though.

 

I read a lot of this a while ago (beyond the OC death and then some) but the constant will-they-or-wont-they angsting with Harry and Hermoine was just too much for me. I think the last straw was some bullshit conversation Harry had with Remus that convinced him to stick his head up his ass about the whole thing for another six weeks or something.

The fic has a lot of good elements, but really the romance is completely intolerable (and coming from me you know that means things are pretty bad.)

EDIT: And yeah, Draco is great in this fic. I don't remember much about him, but he had one specific chapter which I remember thinking was one of the best portrayals of him of all time when I read it.
