I don't get it. Chick turned out to be the Grim Reaper and the dude is ran over by the truck, so what?

 

It may be something like, him being so caught in a single thing and before he knew it, it was time to die. *shrugs*

 

She literally led him to his death. It actually reminds me of a short story I once read (think it was in Don Camillo).

 

Sort of makes me think he was an alcoholic and partially part of his imagination? Though that makes little sense as I don't recall being drunk ever having you hallucinating and chasing alcohol.

Most likely it's to show us death can come at any time, out of nowhere? Either way it's a really cool piece of artwork, well, comic, strip thing.

 

Bike riding is literally flirting with Death?

 

Huh. I thought it was a pretty obvious 'don't drink and drive (especially bikes)' message.

Note: The Japanese actually had races to see who could cut the most heads off with Katanas. Try reading The Rape of Nanking sometime.

 

Some of those, especially the John Cena one, are heartwarming, and then they're put alongside the one about the Japanese killing more Chinese than the amount of Jews that died in the Holocaust, which is horrifying, even more so because I'd never even heard about it until now.

 

Yeah, I'm not sure how some of those can be considered "cool."

 

Eh, I think learning new and interesting things that are not commonly known is cool. Even if the fact itself is horrifying. Maybe that's just me, though.

The only other nation to suffer more was the Soviet Union, which had 9-14 million military deaths and 15-20 million civilian.

Reading about the war crimes of WWII always depresses me.
