    Is cookies where the british put their weed? Here in the US the generally accepted place to place weed is in brownies.

    It's one of those things. IIRC, cookies are brownies and biscuits are cookies. Chips are fries and crisps are chips. It's a strange strange place.

    Nothing. An exact analogue doesn't exist. The closest is 'plain scones', but even that's not quite right. Scones use eggs and are a touch sweeter; they're usually a snack.

    Also a LOT lighter. Biscuits [in the American sense] are meant to be thick. They're functionally filler, in the same way rice is a filler, only we didn't build our cuisine around them.

    I have honestly never, ever heard someone refer to a brownie as a cookie in all my life. Who does that?

    As for the rest, it causes plenty of confusion when talking to American tourists over here...
