I don't think that Nara techniques are solely utilize Yang chakra. It could be that Nara's jutsu are mostly made of Yang chakra, but without Ying chakra it's impossible to give a form or guide any jutsu.

More likely that Nara jutsu use Yin chakra considering it gives form to nothingness. Same for the Yamanaka jutsu but Yang chakra for the Akimichi. But it's never said one way or the other and we just know that it involves Yin/Yang.

Just caught up on the last ten or chapters last night. Some of them I quite enjoyed, which I wasn't fully expecting. Things are still ridiculous but it was sometimes fun anyway.

Wave Country Arc is probably still my favorite though, lol.

The situation that led to Tobirama's death doesn't really make sense to me if he knew the Hiraishi and could use it like he is. His team was being tracked and he can teleport away? Even if he couldn't teleport his entire team to safety his plan of drawing their attention away should have been relatively safe.

Kishimoto doesn't really make sense most of the time.

Tobirama can only transport one person at a time so he'd have to make eleven trips to take the six of them. Not only would that mean leaving a dwindling group of shinobi who are surrounded by enemies (even if it's brief), but we have no idea if he's capable of making that many trips. At present, he can use Hiraishin as many times as he wants because he has limitless stamina; something that wouldn't apply when he was alive.

He could have acted as the decoy and then escaped but it's unlikely that his team would have managed to get so far away from the Kinkaku Force (who were master bounty hunters) that they wouldn't be followed. Even if Tobirama fought for long enough to ensure his team's escape, he may not have had the stamina to make his escape or his injuries could have been too severe anyway.

You have a point, but it's valid only if Tobirama's Hiraishin takes more chakra to use then Minato's. Otherwise, even eleven 'jumps' wouldn't take more then couple of seconds.

Transporting an additional person likely requires more chakra and the group didn't look to be at peak strength. Though I should probably double-check that thing about Tobirama only being able to move one person at a time; Minato could do it with both Naruto and Sasuke.

Edit: Well, regardless, the simple answer is that Tobirama didn't have enough chakra (at that point or at all) to transport himself and six others. So he had to play decoy.

Tobirama's jutsu-shiki is completely different from Minato's. So I guess, Yondaime's version of Hiraishin is better or something...

Oh, and does anyone know how Hashirama died? Who was able to defeat this monster?

So, something I just kind of realized, but you know how we commonly think of Teleportation as the Mattter/Molecules/Atoms/whatever being separated, and then instantaneously traveling and reforming elsewhere? Well, we've been focusing on the travel, and not the reformation. (Assuming this is the method used)

So, what if the difference in speed isn't in the travel, but the fact that Tobirama's Hiraishin takes an ever so slightly longer time to reform? This could probably be because it's to volatile, or something, and makes it prone to not working right if too much matter (Not Energy, such as chakra) is transported.

I don't think that Kishimoto gave so many thoughts to the nature of teleportation.

Eh, considering Kamui established there are alternate dimensions, that probably isn't what's happening with Hiraishin. Dude probably hops through invisible portals or something.

It's fucking magic. Stop trying to apply real world physics and logic to it.

Why? Logic can still be applied to magic because otherwise the story will not make any sense to the readers.

I want you to read your post and then think back on the wisdom of applying sense and logic to Naruto.

I always assumed space-time ninjutsu worked through space-time migration and/or subspace travel rather than disassembling and reassembling molecules. Seems a better fit.

@Republic21: We don't know how the brothers died. They may have been killed the Second Hokage/Raikage during that coup d'etat but that's a guess.

@plastic.jonbenet.doll: We don't know how Hashirama died either.

Heh, maybe the nature of Hiraishin is similar to Jedi teleportation? ;) Stand still, padawan, and allow the Force to move the universe around you.

No one. Eventually he got so awesome that he imploded in on himself, causing a month long rain of awesomeness and gore all over the Elemental Nations.
