The fox pokemon gets psybeam, by the way. It's also the slowest of all 3 starters. I think that implies it will be Nintetails-like, maybe Psychic/Fire, or Fire/Fairy, with tankier stats.

As long as it isn't Fire/Fighting.

Also, I hope Froakie gets cloud nine.

I wouldn't mind a bug-only ability that makes them immune to stealth rocks, either... You know, for Beedril and shit. I can't even use him in NU.

I'd rather weather effects be nerfed or surpassed by power creep than have to dedicate a slot to counter it. :/

Yay, Fennekin might actually be Fire/Psychic. I hope the other two have Dark/Fighting secondary typing.

Edit: I also happen to like weather, just not the overabundance of it. Multiple competitive Cloud Nine Pokemon might just destroy its viability absolutely.

How would cloud nine kill weather? If it marginalized the metagame they'd just be put in Uber. If it didn't, then you'd just need to kill that cloud nine pokemon and then roflstomp with your weather team.

Well, your cloud niner doesn't have to wipe the entirety of the weather team you're facing: you just have to be able to take out Ninetails/Politoad, and to a lesser extent Hippowdon/T-Tar.

    But,

    Pokemon with Cloud Nine:

    Lickitung
    Altaria
    Golduck
    Lickilicky

I don't see it being that big of a game changer. There are enough pokemon that start up weather just by changing in, so you'd have to neutralise those as well as use Cloud Nine. It's kinda like Rapid Spin, in a way.

Cloud Nine doesn't dispel weather, or anything, if they get it up, you still need a move to remove it once it's in place. Actually, that should be Cast Form's function, countering weather teams. Too bad he sucks at actually utilizing weather.

Oh wait, it's a temporary thing then? That kinda sucks.

I'd much prefer Magic Bounce or introducing my own weather.

Is it too much to ask for the Clear Skies Mafia to rise from the ashes once again. T_T

    I thought Fire/Psychic was confirmed.

I'm now concerned how much I know about this is bullshit and how much isn't.

How was Psychic/Fire confirmed? I just know of psybeam, and thus resulting speculation.

It was never confirmed aside from trolling namefags on 4chan.

Mega Kanto starters. Also kanto starters will be available in X/Y. Unfortunately looks like Blastoise still doesn't know how to USE his cannons in his animations.

Pokemon Bank allows you to store up to 3000 pokemon online. Pokemon transporter allows you to transport your black/white/black2/white2 pokemon to Pokemon Bank in a way that I assume will be easier than usual.

Blastoise looks like a fucking tank. But Charizard finally looks like a fucking dragon. I don't see anything different with Venosaur.

They also get new abilities when they mega-evolve. Venusaur gets Thick Fat, Charizard gets Drought, and Blastoise gets a new one called Mega Launcher that makes "pulse moves like Water Pulse and Dark Pulse become even stronger."

Venusaur is the tank, Charizard the buff, and Blastoise the DPS.

Haha, Charizard is of course the best of the lot. I know who I'm picking (again).
