I think Madara and Hashirama are still enough of a challenge to Jubito.
Alright you got me EMS is pretty good. But the only one using it is Sasuke.
I think that in the grand scheme of things though the reason Madara upgraded so to speak is because EMS is outclassed by Senjutsu. And Jubito is just hax.

 

I was honestly disappointed to see the return of MORON!Naruto. Otherwise the chapter wasn't terrible, comparatively.

I don't see naruto with Rinnegan just Jubi.

 

I could see Naruto friendshipping the Juubi to death, at this point it's doubtful he will lose Kurama/Sasuke.

Why Madara started using his Rinnegan and not EMS?
I always believed that EMS grants more battle abilities then Rinnegan. At least we didn't see many special Rinnegan attacks from Madara.

 

Right now, it pretty much looks as though EMS only makes MS permanent. Itachi did somewhat imply that it might give something, but either he was referring to permanent-MS or possibly Perfect Susanoo. There is absolutely nothing to suggest it gives any totally new abilities atleast.

Presumably Madara has to have two MS abilities, one in both eye. I don't know why he has not used them however. Maybe they are not offensive, but rather defensive and thats how he survived VotE. Ofcourse if so, they are pretty useless to an edo zombie who cannot die anyway.

We also know he can use Susanoo even with rinnegan, so it makes little sense to use EMS really. By using rinnegan, he still gets to use his most powerfull sharingan ability of Susanoo, while also getting the benefits of things like Preta path of rinnegan.

 

I get the impression that the EMS etc abilities are still accessible whilst using Rinnegan. Although it is a interesting thought, would Pein have had Susanoo? Did he just not use it or did he not know how, having not unlocked anything with the eyes, having had them implanted in their Rinnegan state, not being able to revert them back to even the normal sharingan or EMS.

Then the question of why Obito still has one Sharingan eye when one could supposedly still use MS abilities whilst using the Rinnegan. Possibly the same reason for Pein, he couldn't revert back to MS or the fact only some MS abilities work whilst in Rinnegan.

 

I think I know why Obito wanted to use one Mangekyou and one Rinnegan. His jinchuuriki Paths got the same eyes he was using and benefited from their combined abilities. All his Paths could see what each other was seeing thanks to the Rinnegan, and all of them received the benefits of the Sharingan - the most useful for them being the ability to predict an opponent's movements.

In addition to that, Obito didn't take two Rinnegan because it would mean the loss of his Kamui ability, which is the whole basis of his fighting style. Sure, he would gain new abilities from the Rinnegan, and perhaps the EMS it's based on. But he would lose Kamui, and have to teach himself from scratch how to fight in an entirely new way. He didn't have time for that, and he may well have been weaker for it.

 

Well, maybe the Rinnegan doesn't grant it's user any special abilities and Nagato just developed his techniques using Yin/Yang Release. EMS probably gives the ability to use Yin/Yang, but not on the same level as Rinnegan. That would explain why Madara still can use Susano.

 

But the Rinnegan does give you special abilities. It's been proven.

Absorbing jutsu, summoning meteors of death - those are both derivative of the Rinnegan, and we know this for a fact because both Madara and Nagato used the techniques.

 

Are you sure? Madara might be the one who created these two techniques before he died, and Tobi later taught them to Nagato.

Actually, I even remember that Madara told Obito that he will teach him Yin/Yang Release.

 

Dunno whether it's said in the manga but the Six Paths (and the Outer Path) were called Rinnegan abilities in the second fanbook.

 

Plus the Elemental Mastery.

 

The Sage created the moon with the same gravity move that Nagato used so it's obvious that he could use the same jutsu. That makes me think of something else though. Could Nagato use the Creation of All Things technique? Perhaps that's where he got all of those odd summons from.

Somewhat unrelated but there are basically two ways people think the EMS is attained. Either a straight transplant or the eyes being merged into a single pair. If it's the second option then do you think the process could be repeated more than once and what do you think the outcome would be?

To attain EMS you need to transplant someone's else sharingan eyes after you got your own MS.

 

I think the logic behind it was that if transplanting by itself was all that was needed then relatives could simple trade eyes and blindness wouldn't ever really be an issue.

 

I believe, you have to kill this relative.
