No but really, the rock/dragon ability is called hard chin and powers up moves like crunch and others that use a pokemon's mouth

The one below it is ice/rock and has an ability called ice skin which makes normal type moves change to ice type

 

Oooooooh. I like the normal-ice move thing.

 

Those starter evolves are alright... not great.

Hyper Beam is gonna be murderous. With fairy type and this move, Gen 6 has officially shat ALL OVER dragon types.

 

I bet there are going to be a few new dragons/moves that make it worth it though. Possibly a priority dragon move, which would be very useful. Also possibly some more Ice-immune/neutral dragons like Kyogre.

Still, this ability is probably going to be limited to that one evolution line so it shouldn't be that much of a threat to dragons. Either way it will just mean changing out the dragon the same way you'd do so for an Electivire or Starmie (notice that neither of those two are ice types, either. Perhaps this isn't about shitting on dragons so much as giving us some decent ice types beyond Kingdra to use).

Ugh. I keep forgetting that Kingdra's a dragon type rather than ice. This little fact has cost me more matches than I care to admit.

There are so many water and grass types that I feel stupid when I pick one of those starters. On the other hand, all fire types look awesome and I want all of them.

I was planning on picking Fennekin, and I likely still will, but their evo is so derpy looking, just as bad as Chespin's. Froakie has improved, at least. Here's hoping the final evos are awesome, though, the middle ones are usually my least favorite anyway.

 

Quilava was my favorite of the typhlosion line, but besides him and wartortle I think I agree with you entirely. Most intermediary forms suck.

Charmeleon bitches. I honestly think they know that those middle ones are never sticking around so they don't spend time on them.

 

Not true. Only later gen ones from memory that may hold true. Hell, Treecko gets worse with every evolution, lol (not that sceptile or grovyle were 'bad', just not as good).

Bayleaf is a little iffy, but the whole line is meh.
