But both of them threw up some death flags with this chapter (to say nothing of Horyang, I will be very surprised to see him come out of this arc alive). Hoping nothing bad happens to either Gator or Eyeball Ghost.

I really prefer SIU's battles as compared to most shounen tournaments. Out of all his tests my favorite is probably the untrustworthy room one.
How about you guys?

I'd have to agree with untrustworthy room. That ending with Wangnan's gamble, Viole wrecking Lurker's plan so easily right when he thought he'd won, and the reveal of the Devil of the Right. The lead up to that resulting in such a perfect ending, fantastic.

I knew Beelzebub had updated and I didn't even care enough to check it. I guess that's how it is when I know it's something that's going to center on Furuichi. Kinda wish Tamura had just gone through with offing him tbh.

 

Is Hunter x Hunter currently on hiatus? And if it is, does someone know when the last new chapter was released?

 

Maybe it's just a personal taste thing, but I still prefer gag chapters (Furuichi centric or not) to a terrible fight against a boring character I'm apparently supposed to then be sympathetic to. The Takamiya shit was the low point of the series IMO, and this stuff is a step back in the right direction.

Beelzebub's weakest element is its action. The fights can be good, but only if they're also a vehicle for its particular brand of comedy. The fights that are played straight are completely lacking compared to just about any other battle manga in existence.

Predictable reactions after the initial, underwhelming, reveal. I'm somewhat glad it wasn't drawn out, though! Next chapter should be interesting.

It doesn't really come up a lot because this thread tends to get taken over by Beelzebub and ToG, but have I ever mentioned how much I fucking love farming?

Cooking has nothing on this beast and this manga has shown no signs of getting worse any time soon.
