Sure, I'd be up for an update. It would be cool if you only got to take one inventory with you, so many choices. :3

 

Yeah, we've been talking about a possible server restart. It'd let us update to the newest, hopefully more stable version of the modpack and get rid of the myriad of corrupted chunks and problems we were having. But you'd lose all your building progress.

As to being able to keep your inventory, if you get into AE stuff you can take your storage drive with you. :3

Edit: Oh god. Backups now take ten minutes to do while the server's down.

 

Will the contents of our packs go with us?

 

Okay, first of all, why restart the server? Second, I'd much prefer if I could get a copy of the world before it's done... And third, when would it occur? I'd like to hop on to get stuff in my inventory that I'd like to carry with me, but I don't exactly have much time until tomorrow.

Actually, I had some free time, so I went and filled my inventory with goodies. I think I'm set. I'd still like a copy of the world, however.

So... will armor that I'm wearing transfer over as well? And whats the verdict on backpacks?

That was taken from on top of my house, wasn't it? I can do that too. The second image was taken from the bottom of the ravine that my house partially covers.

What for? There wasn't anything particularly special about the terrain. And no offense, but nobody finished anything awesome. There were a couple cool things going around but they were far, far from done.

It's cool if you want it. Just wondering why.

 

To be honest, I like having copies of everything I build in Minecraft, and that wasn't much on the previous two DLP servers, but I put some amount of time into this server and from time to time I might want to wander about it. Plus it'd be nice to see the other builds first-hand.
