I wouldn't want a toaster Pokemon whose toast got browner the higher it's level was. It's a motherfucking toaster. No amount of chrome bells and whistles can make that okay.

It's one thing to argue about whether or not the Megavolutions are overdone or shit looking because they've got a zillion stripes and horns and sequins on them.

But don't even try to goddamn pretend that shit like this isn't lazy as fuck.

 

I still like it more than electrode/voltorb. Let's not get into the argument again. All generations have stupid pokemon and I don't think this is nearly the stupidest; all generations have lazy designs and I don't think this is nearly the laziest.

We have different opinions. Stop being so needlessly condescending about everything.

 

I'd be perfectly happy to get a toaster pokemon so long as toast popped out when I tapped it on the battle screen.

 

So in the pokemon world, did ice cream cones get inspired by pokemon or the other way round?

I guess that question now applies to keys and keychains.

I don't have a real source, so hopefully it's confirmed, but there are shit tons of rumors flying about that Drought, Drizzle, Sand Stream, and Snow Warning only last 5 turns now. But, again, the only evidence is "it was confirmed in game"

There's also apparently a megastone for Galvantula which is rad. Stealth Rock damage has been changed as well. Down to 10% from 12.5% vs neutral targets. Again, caveats.

 

Keychain dude is genuinely one of my favourite Pokemon. I know some people aren't fond of the more artificial Pokemon, but a mischievous fairy stealing everyone's keys is a great concept - there are plenty of cool ways it can interact with the human world and to me that's a lot cooler than another generic animal.

Nope. Lost me there. If they can't even get it to work on older gens, then it's not even remotely worth it.

Electrode and Voltorb were okay because there was justification for it. They were the 'trap' enemy. It looks like an item but it's not, surprise battle. They were a Mimic-type enemy.

One Pokemon mimicing a man-made object to hide was okay. A dozen different ones doing it is lazy as fuck all.

And they made it a fairy before Dunsparce.

Don't start it by posting smarmy-ass pics and links making fun of people who don't like the designs, and we won't have to. You've been passive-aggressive as fuck about it. You don't get to cry "don't start it." You're the one who starts it.

I'm not outraged as much as disappointed. That they're charging for a service is fine, but it needs to be something worth paying for in the first place for that to be okay. Since they've basically confirmed that this won't even be able to go back as far as Platinum, and that it's only BW and B2W2 compatible, I seriously don't see the reason for anyone to want this.

It covering every Pokemon game that was on the DS/3DS would be worth it. It only covering last gen and last gens Final Fantasy X-2 isn't worth it at all. It's basically Pal Park. only with a subscription fee. Or in other words, it's something we should have had already anyway.

 

Is the fact that it can't go back very far at all mitigated by two things?

A) It's a safe bet that an incredibly healthy number of the National dex will be in Kalos
B) It will be compatible with all future pokemon 3DS titles

 

I'm going to use it for the free first month at least after using dns trading for multiple Slowkings. Can't wait to give those cool pokemon out to unsuspecting kids and adults alike. They'll go in expecting a bidoof or pidgey or something, then BAM! An awesome Slowking to add to their party.

Double post but here IGN's review with a lot more gameplay footage including confirmation that you can heal pokemon before switching them and that charizard in mega form is officially Fire/Dragon
