Pregame:
You will be given a Role PM. Confirm by posting in your QT. Make sure you do not have any questions about your role before confirming.

Day:
Lynches will be achieved by a majority vote. There will be no plurality lynches in this game. If no one reaches a hard lynch count, the day will end in a no lynch.

Day 1 has a week long deadline. Feel free to use as little or all of this time as you please. All other days will have a 72 hour deadline.

Votes are required to be bolded and on a separate line, or they will not be counted. I do this to ensure there are no fake voting shenanigans. Please do not attempt to pull any fake vote shenanigans. (See: Later in the ruleset)

I do not require that you unvote, but if you do, the same rules apply.

Night:
Nights last for 24 hours. If you did not post in the 24 hours before the end of the previous Day, we will prod you to make sure you are in the game.

Illegalities:
As a reminder, you are not allowed to:
*talk about this game outside the thread except where expressly permitted
*impersonate the mods and/or use the mods' formatting.
*use cryptography, invisible text, or other ways of sending robustly hidden messages
*quote your Role PM, including using specifics about its format or time stamp to your advantage
*edit/delete posts or speak after death.
*post links to QuickTopics
*do other obviously underhanded things not listed here, including things you may not think are underhanded but others will probably disagree about
This ruleset is designed under the assumption that you know what is acceptable. If you aren't sure, ask. If you fall afoul of what is expected, that's your problem.

Nothing else mattered anymore, except running. Not her band, not her fame. Not her family or her good looks.

Just pure survival, mixed with a sense of justice. She needed to live, so she could expose this conspiracy. Could they all really have forgotten?

She looked behind her to see if they were still giving chase as she turned a sharp corner.

And was stopped as a blade pierced it's way through her stomach. She looked up, into the faces of her aggressors, and let out a death rattle before slumping against the wall.

Using the last of her fading energy, she lifted her head and parted her lips trying to scream the name of her assailants as the knife slid across her vocal chords, silencing her for good.

Anyway, I've never played this kind of set up before so I'm not too sure how to play things here. Still, I think we should go with what we did last game and have a serious Day One. Maybe it'll change my view on day one lynches, even.

So on that note, has anyone ever played this style of mafia and is it any different to play than usual? Are there any benefits to massclaiming given that anyone could be mafia? Why do hot dog come in tins of 8 while hot dog buns come in packs of 10?

No. Mass claiming would be pretty pointless, I think. Because 2 of the buns always get dropped on the floor. Personally I think we should just treat this the same as a normal setup, though the week long day 1 will be strange.
