It was announced in the summer, but I didn't see a thread for this. Ufotable, the studio that gave us the Fate/Zero anime is working on a Fate/Stay Night anime.

I never got into the first Fate/Stay anime. I got around 5 episodes into before the main character drove me off. I did like Ilya and Rin though. However, I loved Fate/Zero so if the same talent is working on this new series then it should be good as well.

Fate Zero was amazing. I need to rewatch that.

 

I have mixed feelings on this one tbh. I love the nasuverse in general, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna animate HF. If it's popular enough maybe they'll do all 3 Routes, instead of the clusterfuck anime that tried to mix all three. That would be awesome, but on the other hand HF is probably my least favorite route.

 

Read the VN. HF is very...controversial because lots of people (myself included) really don't like the heroine in it. But, I don't think you can deny HF has some of the most epic moments of FSN on the final day.

I hope that this captures the feel of Heavens Feel and keeps the deconstructonal elements it has on the other two routes.

 

Heaven's Feel is my absolute favorite route. But I have a very, very hard time seeing it happening.

Fate and UBW had their own adaptations. Not Heavens Feel fault that the first one was a crappy anime and in the second one, too short of a movie for anything but ACTION!

I don't care what route they adapt as long as its good. Maybe they'll do all of them.

You got to wonder who the hell put that line in there. I can't see any writer seriously thinking that is a good line for their hero. So what was it, deliberate sabotage?

 

It is a stupid meme repeated by stupid people as it was a purposeful misquote of something Shirou says that makes sense.

 

They're saying as if it is going to be a remake so I'm not expecting them to adapt Heaven's Feel. It would be awesome if they did though, Kirei vs Shirou was all kinds of awesome.

EDIT: The line was from a fansub. Shirou was telling how he didn't die despite suffering from fatal injuries where any normal person would have been killed.

 

I want all 3. :/ A season for each, should do the trick I'd say.

Heaven's Feel would be... interesting though.

 

Ah, that's interesting. That line always came up so I had no reason to doubt its accuracy. And although I only saw the first few episodes he left enough of an impression on me that I really could see him saying something that dumb. He really rubbed me the wrong way.

Thanks to fanfiction though I was led to the visual novel which I will have soon. Apparently Shirou's not as dumb as the anime had led me to believe.

I'm looking forward to the fanfiction that will crop up as this new series takes off.

Hell yes. That would literally be the greatest thing since... I can't think of anything awesome enough to compare it to. But given that we proably won't get it I really want them to do Heaven's Feel.

Er, you're probably to be disappointed then. The details are going to be in the 9th T-M magazine volume, coming out in January, and there's a big image of Saber in her King attire on the cover advertising it.

I'm not saying it's a straight up remake.

And if its not HF based on the picture linked earlier, It better be a rendition of Sabers route that isn't completely godawful.

Actual character building in HF? Check.

I want to see Shirou trade his happyhero ideals for something that the reader/viewer can believe in; fighting for someone they want to keep safe no matter what.

The most believable romance of the three options considering the story and background? Check.

I want to see Shirou break. I want to watch as he realizes exactly what his choice of Sakura means, I want to watch him rage once he learns what happens to her, and how the only thing he can do to keep her happy is destroy everything that he held dear. I want to see his dreams torn to shreds, his hopes burn into cinders and as he stomps out the ashes to do what he thinks is right.

My favorite ending/s in the story? Oh hell yes.

I want to watch an idealist die, and refuse to stay dead. I want to see him rip the victory from the jaws of defeat, and get up one last time to pay his price.
I want to watch as the "heroine" sees just how much her man cared for her, and I want to feel manly tears well up in my eyes as I watch a hero sacrifice literally everything he is to protect what he loves.

I NEED Heavens Feel.

Not to say that HF doesn't have its stupid moments, but it's definitily the one that held the greatest emotional impact for me. Only route that made me do more than just tear up a little at the end.
