The entire reason I stopped watching this show is that, in my opinion, the character of Richard Castle has just been destroyed.

Rick Castle was awesome in season one and season two, and even for most of season three. He was smart and confident and was shown to be someone who could more than hold his own against Beckett. Over the course of the show, his growing feelings for Beckett are shown in his willingness to change in order to make her happier. Problem is, Beckett never really has to do that in response. And now, the writers have relied on the same gimmick for so long that Castle has just turned into the ultimate doormat and lost all of what made him interesting and unique as a character.

In fact, the entire 'love story' at this point is just sad and seems more like a cautionary tale than anything.

 

Okay, that last episode, episode 9 of the newest season, was just intense and awesome. Did guess the suspect and the connections pretty fast but that didn't take away the suspense and creepiness factor.

 

I haven't watched the last three episodes, because I'm waiting so I have something to watch not just peisode by episode. So my question is: Is Alexxa still a bitchy bitch?

 

Why is this a question? Of course she is.

 

That's why we can't have nice things.

 

Yeah, but we're all going to attempt to watch it because Nathan Fillion, and every week we'll swear we aren't watching any more because Alexxa (amongst other things) and then we get sucked back in because Nathan Fillion.

(and Ryan and Esposito).

 

Honestly the 3xk story line is the only one worth following anymore. And anything with Nathan being a badass. Example- sword fight a few episodes ago.

 

When we say Alexxa, do we mean Alexis?

 

In all fairness they do seem to phasing her and Castle's mother out of the show.

 

They are assimilating each other. That explains her attitude and his avatar.

I don't mind the phasing out of mother. She was the only character I hated. It seems her only purpose is to make trouble for people... With sometime a fortune cookie saying here and there...

 

I always found it hilarious (ironically) when Martha would give advice and people listen.

I'm not even a massive Beckett fan anymore, though i don't even come close to hating her (like Alexis and Martha). It's all about Castle, Ryan and Espo.

It makes me feel sexist, that i don't like any of the female characters in the show, and that just annoys me even more.

The last episode was hella awesome though. My mind went to 3xK when the murders seemed so personal, i thought it had to be someone we've seen before.

The song at the end was chilling, and letting him get away eating castle up is awesome.

 

Ya Beckett stopped being interesting to me as soon as everyone one else found out that she and Castle were together.

On a side note the newest episodes don't air till Monday nights here.

 

Eh 3XK seems to get off on them knowing he was the one behind everything and yet being able to do shit about it. That's pretty much why he left Castle and Ryan alive in the first place just so he could fuck with them later.

 

So I just watched the 3XK episode. Man fuck that. I hate these super powered villains. There is no balance for fucks sake. It was the same in Bones and don't even mention the Mentalist.

EDIT:

I just realized, when they finally decide to get married (they will break up at least once) then it will be a 2 part episode with a 3XK final showdown.

 

Such horseshit, i wanted the baby to be javier!

Also, i don't like castle being such a fringe character these days, like he's a +1 in his own show only there to supply charming wit.

Want some more castle 'eureka' moments.

 

I think it's fairly well established that the character of Richard Castle is very inconsistently written, and I dare say that if anyone other than Capt. Tightpants was playing him, people would have bailed years ago.

I enjoyed this episode's focus on Espo and Ryan. I like the two of them and any chance to watch the two of them bitch at each other is almost as good as the car ride sequences in Almost Human.

I will say I ID'd the bad guy the instant he came on screen, which is lame when it was less than three minutes in.

Also, my standards might be going up, but the CGI explosion could have been better done (though it was still better than the Blacklist's CGI).

Also, any episode with no Martha, Alexis or Pi works for me.

tl;dr: not mind-blowing, but still worthy entertainment this week.

 

Honestly? I thought it was going to be the partner >.<.

I dunno what that means, but i enjoyed the lack of Alexis.
