I think there's a fair chance that Luckylee's being an idiot, and is protecting Rubicon because Rubicon outed the pieing before Lucky did and because he doesn't want to be soup killed. But let's see what Aekiel and Zeit have to say first.

Kai had to be scum. None of his actions make sense from a town perspective. So then, Luckylee has to be scum and lying, which means that the person who was really hit is going to come forward and screw both him and Rubicon over or they decided not to nk and have Luckylee claim that he survived a nk to get town cred. Which is possible? I guess?

Actually, that not quite what I'm saying. I'm saying that scum (aka you and Rubicon) decided not to nk anyone. This allows one of you to say that you survived because of protection and be completely townfirmed. Mori and I were considering something similar in Dresden. You would have done this because 1. You really worried about being lynched early on after losing Kai and 2.Rubicon was established as the likely clown target in thread, which meant that any night kill you made risked hitting the clown and confirming Rubicon as scum. It doesn't make much sense, but it makes more sense than Kai being town.

 

You really think scum would take that risk when the priest is a thing?
