Sure, let's crack open the legal books and look up the punishment for starting a world war, trying to ascend to godhood by binding nine eldtrich abominations within yourself and trying to mindfuck the entire world with an illusion that would slowly starve them all to death, albeit it would be a very peaceful starving, with no fighting or conflict.

But yeah, I know what you mean. Still, rather disappointing. I know, I know, entirely expected and unavoidable but still.

The tree is still standing so nothing is over yet. In next chapter Madara will try to gain control over it using Hashirama's powers.

 

What do you think the possibility of Madara eating a fruit and then a new 'series' starting ala time skip would be.

I wouldn't count out Kishimoto dragging the manga out even more.

Otherwise we'll see a quarter of a year for the Madara side of things.

 

I fully expect Obito to pull some self-sacrificing shit like with Pein in the fight against Madara.

This is where things might get interesting. We have already matched (or even possibly passed) Bleach levels of asspull and oneupmanship. Where could he go from here, with the already landscape-rearranging battles and god-powers?

We have Naruto looking like he might become the jinchuuriki for all nine tailed-beasts, but having done it agreeably and without coercive force, his would be a more sage-like compact with them, to offset Madara's deification. What I would really like to see, however, is Naruto somehow obtaining Mokuton, and I think we may have the seeds of this in the growth of life (trees?) that was said to have been affected by either Naruto or the Kyuubi's chakra.

On the other hand, we have Sasuke witnessing the limits of Sharingan, wondering about sage techniques he's never even heard of. I mean, Kishi could keep going, but it would hardly be about ninjas anymore. We'd probably never even see the rest of Naruto's classmates at that point, as they'd all be back in the dust the way everyone else is compared to Hashirama and Madara now.

 

Really, the only way I could see this manga continuing in a halfway interesting/believable manner is if Madara, the edo tensei kages, Obito all fuck off back to death and the bijuu leave this mortal plain / sacrifice themselves for some reason / die /disappear.

Thus, all the level breaking players leave the field, Naruto is still strong with sage mode and whatnot but he loses his world-breaking powers of being able to solo a Kage with a shadow clone. And with no jinchuruki, there are no more people who can do similar things. Basically, the power levels will be significantly scaled back, to a point where a fight might actually be interesting again. It also makes things more balanced politically again, and one could see where this alliance thing would go when old feelings of wanting revenge or something surface again, but this time without the one threat to bind them or a god Naruto to push them into line.

Could be something but honestly, I just want it to end.

 

Ehhh, even Sage Mode Naruto could arguably defeat all of the Kage, same with EMS Sasuke. Perhaps not all 5 at once, but Naruto and Sasuke vs the other 4 kage Konoha wins.

 

At this stage, I'd say that Kakashi+Gai could beat the rest of the Kage. It wasn't long before that the two of them were fighting a bunch of Bijuu with no apparent difficulty.

That Oprah meme comes to mind. "You get Kage level. And YOU get Kage level. EVERYONE GETS KAGE LEVEL."

 

Kakashi and Gai have always been confirmed S Class. Well, in Part 2 Kakashi was because he got back into shape, Gai was a bamf since part 1 when he tornado kicks Kisame.

 

True, but not fight-bijuu-and-easily-hold-your-own S class. Or any of the rest of the shit they've been doing.

Kishi could still go forward with this. But I dont know for how long. Orochimaru is still a wild card. I dont know what he wants or what his motives are. He still controls the three Hokages atleast.

Sasuke also wants to be Hokage now so lets see if he will fight Naruto for it.

I do hope the fight with Madara is not resolved with Therapy No Jutsu
