Before his death, Nagato destroys his Rinnegan to keep it out of certain dangerous hands. Infuriated, Uchiha Obito actives a legendary seal that resets time and all its events, but he didn't count on Konoha's Orange Ninja remembering everything. Time travel on an epic scale. Completed.

 

What're your thoughts about it? Why do you think it has the needed quality? And what can we expect before going in to the story?

Summary sounds decent enough, but i can also imagine the possible pitfalls it can fall to. You can post it with the spoiler tags if you want.

I don't want to talk for all but I'm pretty sure people had enough of the standard time travel stories, aside from the exceptional few that is.

 

I've read it before. It's below average in my opinion. I may have gone further the first time I read it, but this time I stopped at chapter one. No plot hooks, the writing is mundane, and there are some annoying cliches as well, such as Naruto gathering them all together in the bell test and the rest of the team just going with it, resulting in the team passing with flying colors.

^This. Decent time-waster if you're bored. The writing is above average in terms of spelling and grammar, the story has a good pace but the characters feel empty, the writer doesn't make them interesting. Haven't read past chapter 15 yet though, it's possible it gets better. But I kinda doubt it. For now, it's just Naruto screwing up the timeline with his foreknowledge of past events.

All in all, nothing particular that distinguish this fic from the other readable time travel fics.

So, not sure if you count it as a turn to shit move but the author seems to be taking cues from the manga right about now.

I've seen all those fics, but I don't think I've ever gotten more than a few chapters in. They are readable, I guess. But really really mediocre and somewhat boring.

 

Hmm well. I'm just getting into Naruto again. The HP fandom seems to be going a bit stale for me. One would think that a year or two out of the fandom would produce a couple decent fics.

 

Synchronicity is one of my favorite fics. I thought about reccing it but the beginning is really weak, but the author has been going back and editing so it's getting better. Plus the newer chapters are the shit.

The Lavender Beast of Konoha by Mark Doherty

Summary: In a fit of hubris, Hiashi forced Hinata to attend the same Academy class as Neji. Having never been in the same class as Naruto, who shall serve as her inspiration to grow stronger? AU Team Gai: Lee, Tenten, Hinata. Gen for now. Surprisingly not crack.

I like it, it is unfortunately dead though. And given it's age I think it held up really well.

Sasuke in manga and every story he appears in for more than a second. I hate him here. Naruto has such good writing, I hate a main character. Wooo. The rest of the chapter was good though, mostly. Bit weird that the ANBU would party to such a degree regardless of how much they hated Danzo. He did die in the middle of town, and ANBU can't be sure who killed him was friendly.
