After a 8/0/10 5th game, I'm now in Plat 5... on my 2nd acc xD

 

And here I am, twiddling my thumbs in Gold 3 because I don't really feel like playing much ranked in the preseason.

 

Havent played LOL in a couple weeks, to be honest (excluding a couple of games here and there).
I'm worried of inactivity now.

 

I played 5 ranked games in preseason (got to Gold IV) and that's enough. I'm not playing again until Nidalee, Riven, Shyvana, Nasus, Teemo and Evelynn get nerfed hard enough that they stop being picked every game. I'm sick of dealing with their bullshit. Even if I ban them all out, that still leaves shit like Dr. Mundo to deal with.

Ranked is hell right now.

 

Standard pre-season malarky, Riot over-doing it and it's just like Warmogs and Black Cleaver all over again.

They'll sort it out before the season starts or not long after. Shyvana's already had nerfs on the PBE to her early game that leaves her late game unaffected, same with Riven.

Outside that, the problems lies with the defensive masteries. Mundo can just go 0/30/0 and not give a crap because he'll just out-live everyone.

Only played 3 games since the 3.14 patch went live, not had any problem champions even after BotA and other tournaments have been showing just how effective top lane tanks can be. Had the same old weird combinations like Wukong vs Jax in my last game if memory serves.

Inactivity doesn't matter at all as it's pre-season anyway, MMR won't decay and that's how they'll determine who you play in the new season for placements so, unless you go on a massive winning/losing streak there's little point.

 

I was busy and didn't play for a while shortly after the season ended. My ranked stuff said 'inactivity warning, decaying, blah blah', and I had gone from 30-odd LP to 0. So, I think it's still somewhat relevant, although I don't know if/think they put in the protocols that allow someone to drop actual plat/gold/silver tier separations due to inactivity yet.

 

Come on. This is nowhere near as bad as League of Cleaver was. Back then you had 6 cleaver wukong's oneshotting an entire team. A too tanky mundo is a relief after that.

 

I don't know how you guys feel, but I think Nidalee is pretty weak right now tbh. She lost a lot of her power when she can't make use of her full damage spears as easily anymore, and she''s pretty negligible once teamfights starts. Though, I can see why she can be a menance at lower elos where nobody ever initiate fights.

 

Also, let me correct my statement about dropping tiers. You can already drop tiers from inactivity, but in S4 they plan on making it so you can drop tiers from losing enough at Division 5.

 

Yeah I got my warning as I had 7 days to play or risk losing LP when the patch went live, the warning was gone the next day and I can't remember if I played 4 days after that or 8, but I know I was away for the 3 days inbetween.

Outside of that, I dropped below everyone else in my division but still had 52LP, I was just 'unranked' as I was technically 27th, but the guy in 26th had 0 LP, so I guess inactivity had something to do with it, but I didn't drop into Gold III so honestly I have no idea what's going on with it all.

Bill - Never said it was, people just seem to have forgotten that the top lane can feature champs who aren't Riven/Rekenton/Jax. I love tanks, they're my favourite roll in the game but they're currently this pre-season's Cleaver/Warmogs/BorK because of Defensive masteries.

 

Elo hell basically drove me out of the game raging everytime I played. I moved into SMITE and am loving the hell out of it in Arena mode!

 

So was I, for all of a few days. Bored the shit out of me eventually.

 

Not for me. I got all Gods existing and future unlocked, and I goddamned faceroll as Anhur, Ao Kuang (sp?) Thanatos, or Zeus. I cbf to get into Conquest (5v5 lanes like LoL) but arena, assault (ARAM), and 3v3 are goddamned amazing. I got so sick of playing as prutty colored cartoons.

 

So, just hit my plat promos. Warwick is obscenely strong with S4 vision changes.

 

Not me, but my friend just hit Silver after more than a year of trying to improve from Bronze 4. I'm silver myself and we've duoed a lot in the past, but he got into his promos and through them all on his own. Not the highest of rankings but I was proud of him

 

Finally doing my Gold I promo as I've been sat on it for 5 days; as a reminder, does the number of days reset when you play a game or not? I have 1 game left to go as I'm currently 1-1 and would rather wait a few days due to net maintenance in my area.

Anyway.

A Diamond V duo'd with a Gold II in my games, both of them and they were on my side. Long story short; They lost bot as Draven/Leona vs Ali/Trist and I don't even know how. Literally an impossible lane to lose in my head, but Draven rushed Last Whisper so that probably explains everything combined with Trist being godlike at 15 minutes.

I meet them in the next game and spend the entirety of champ select flaming me, such is life. We won the 2nd game though I had to ADC, so I played my weakest lanes today with Mid/ADC, I shoulda just gone Annie mid but eh, blind picking it is never fun.

1-1 in my series, next game decides it and I'd rather wait as I said earlier, and the boosted Diamond V players continue to depress me. Checked the guy's match history and he's lost his last 8 games prior to the 2 we played in together so, either very bad luck, or boosted. Looking at his map awareness and general decision making, definitely boosted.

Won 9 ranked games in row, during the LP bug, was pretty discouraging to say the least. Well, I guess shit doesn't matter when mmr is getting higher anyway.

BTW, Alistar and Leona are pretty ridiculous supports at the moment. Really enjoying spamming support.

 

Reminds me of Season 2, jungle Ali the true terror. I've not watched Bjergsen in forever though I heard Oddone mention a few days ago on stream to ban Alistar and doing a double-take as they insta-locked it. Then I heard Bjergsen cackle.

Guess I have a reason to now, that and go look him up on probuilds. Mid Ali, never thought I'd see the day again after his ratio nerfs.

 

Any champion with 2 ccs, a self heal, and a damage reduction steroid is basically always going to be viable. In particular Ali is strong right now because he is unburstable and unpokeable and be can trade favorably (somehow) with a little mana regen. Its a meta swing response.
