Some of the game we all keep buying nearly everyone has, so we wind up with a ton of duplicates because the games go on sale so often. I've wound up with a ton of trouble trying to place them, or literally can't, because everyone has them.

Next year, avoid getting the following games:
ANY Humble Bundle deal.
Magicka
Dungeon Defenders
Deus Ex
BioShock 1/2
Binding of Isaac
Bastion
Crysis other then 3
Prototype
ANY Valve Game
Batman Arkham Asylum/City (it's in a bundle, this year we'll fill in alot of the interest, next year it'll be dirt cheap)

Question: I offered up some bundle games, what will happen to them, you just wont use them, or will they be still given out?

 

Well, if no one takes my humble bundle games, I'll just redeem it on my own account and be done with it.

As MK says, I'll probably start buying... well, actual games, instead of bundle deals.

I bought it because I wanted to give back to the community, and also because I'm cheap as fuck when it comes to anything not immediately related to my computer, car, phone and living.

EDIT: I don't have Bioshock either.

 

I'm willing to help make things easier for you Mid by taking some of those games. I don't have Magicka, Deus Ex, BioShock 1/2, Bastion and Valve Games other than HL1.

Anyway, next year I'll be the one giving out games instead of receiving like this year. Decide to switch to buying games on steam instead of in retail like I used to do. Just need to figure out what's wrong why I can't get money to my steam wallet.

 

Well the only game I can see I have from the list is Magicka so at least you can reduce the numbers a bit. Also don't buy HB here so save for a very few exceptions won't have any there either. Might have a Valve game though since I don't really check who it is from.

I wonder if any of the games I bought will show up in that list. Not many, just four really so I doubt it but it will be funny if one does.

 

We had something like 200 extra copies left over.

If I can find homes for them I'll use them. Origin keys are impossible for me to know who has the game and doesnt, so I can't really do anything with them. My current idea is just to put a big ass list of the bundled games together and let folks pick off them later on.

Yak alone will be able to fill in gaps for damned near everyone. I don't quite get why we only have 202 members in the Steam group, but I know we've got way more gamers then that here. FREE STUFF GUIS

going to watch the sales the next couple days, might pick something up on a daily if I think it'd be good to give to people. Mid should I gift it to then... or what?

Yeah, I'm missing some BTA stuff (and L4D2/HL2 for valve games) but for the most part, don't bother giving the $1 bundles. Everyone has them.

When I saw GFWL went down and they had moved Bioshock 2 over to Steam, I decided to reinstall it (which, unfortunately, I couldn't do from the disc).

Unfortunately, they still haven't fixed the problem with it crashing under Win7 64 bit, and probably never will. So, I spent all that time downloading it for nothing.

Not being able to play something because your gear/OS is too advanced is, quite possibly, even more frustrating than not being able to play because they aren't good enough.

If you're not using Win7 64, I highly recommend it.

 

Force it to run in DX9. Right click it in Steam, go through properties to launch options and then add -dx9
