Wait... something... something doesn't feel right, here. Something's missing... What could it be?

    Oh.

/me looks up at her posts

Wut? My certainties in life are shaken.

Why do you say you want to lynch both me and Kalas and yet you're not voting for either, or even worse for anyone? You also gave yourself such a pre-emptive easy way out of a (random) duel with post #14, which severly affects the (already poor) pressure you have applied this game.

    Lynch: fontisian

I think it's time to break my dependence on voting for Rubicon. I've used it in the past to avoid any analysis of my RVS, but it's time to move on.

    ...

I reserve the right to RVS vote Rubicon in the next game.

---------- Post automerged at 01:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:23 PM ----------

Damn, nine games of voting Rubicon. Have I really been doing it for that long?

---------- Post automerged at 01:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:26 PM ----------

The hilarious thing is that he was almost always scum in those games.

---------- Post automerged at 01:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:27 PM ----------

The last one was actually a Fiddler on the Roof reference.

"A fiddler with the truth. Sounds crazy, no? But in this little town of DLP mafia, every one of us is a fiddler with the truth, trying to scratch out a town or mafia victory, without getting lynched. You may ask, why do we stay here if it's so dangerous? We stay here because this insanity is our home. And how do we keep our balance? That I can tell you in one word: Meta!"

    Lynch vote Lexicat.

She posted in this thread, that makes her fair game.

Bill Door: Why aren't you voting for someone in the game?

---------- Post automerged at 01:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:35 PM ----------

Someone else look at this, because I may be OMGUS, but I can't read this paragraph without thinking "Scumjil opportunistically looking for a mislynch."

Because Lexicat is evil and needs to die.

---------- Post automerged at 06:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:43 PM ----------

I'm more surprised that you would be hesitant about pressuring a possible scum read. That's what I find suspicious about it.

    Lynch vote Fontisian

    p.s Lexi must dieeeee

I like Bill Door for town.

Anyway, my issue isn't with the pressure, which is somewhat deserved, but rather with the language choices.
"Even worse," "random," "severly," "already poor." They're all unnessarrily added in to make the case seem strong.

The random bit is also wrong, and I'm surprised that Stojil didn't find the way blab backed out of my challenge suspicious.

This reminds me of what you tried to spin in last game with my use of "exactly" and "in this context". Also, you only addressing the language and not the content is pretty scummy .

What? I only see you paving the way for your backing out.

    ?
I'm giving him a chance to talk his way out of it before I start the duel. It's a courtesy, really.

Language tells are a thing Stojil. Don't pretend that they aren't.

Are we seriously going to lynch someone based on the language of a post? Stojil's case seems weak, I can't tell if he's joking or not.

Again, what? Fake edit: I was missing the bit in the other thread. Still completely random and I can't see how you can say otherwise.

    When they're scummy, yes.

Explain why those language tells are unnecessary and why you have an issue with them.

I'm not basing my vote on fontisian's language and she has yet to vote because of mine, so no.

The thing about Rubicon was at least partially a joke, although that's a meta bit that gains importance with the rest that followed. The thing about fontisian not voting anyone wasn't a joke. Same for her saying she wanted to lynch both me and Kalas and not doing it, and for her "courtesy" pre-emptive way-out of the duel with blab.

    Well that escalated quickly.

Fonti I'd have said pretty much the same thing Stojil did, the only thing I find extraneous is the 'severely'.

Awright. Brief response before I leave for packed morning rush-hour trains and an essay exam.

Clearly, blab is scum. He's being suspiciously quiet and has the added bonus of having it out for me, the shifty-eyed bugger. And I ain't even done anything yet!

    Vote: blab

Seriously? That's all you have to say about it? I'm sure you agree that we left the Random Votes realm, at least for what concerns our discussion, and your vote as it is just doesn't cut it. Also, there are accusations/questions you have left unanswered. You should really rectify that.
