When Naruto was being trained in Senjutsu did they mention whether the fourth tried or something?

 

Until this chapter we had no idea that he could do it or had even tried.

 

From the get-go the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan was basically the Human Instrumentality Project from Evangelion, except it wasn't supposed to change people into orange goo.

 

Infact I would argue that given the way Narutos SM was compared only to Jiraiya and the way Fukasaku only spoke of Jiraiyas training and so on, it was even implied that Minato never even tried. Even Minato himself only a dozen or so chapters ago saw Naruto go into SM and compared it to Jiraiya, despite the fact that apparently his own SM is much closer to Narutos since Jiraiya turned part-toad.

So this is significantly bigger retcon than most. And its also utterly and completely useless retcon, since it accomplished nothing.

 

Wtf Kishi. As Datakim said, Minato recently compared Naruto's Sage Mode to Jiraiya's, which is completely nonsensical considering he can use Sage Mode himself - and a perfect form of it just like Naruto's. I really expected Kishi would have these final chapters plotted out in great detail, but apparently he's still pulling from his ass on the fly.

 

I remember that. I dont understand where the sage mode came from then. Coz it might have been possible that since the revival he hadn't gone sage because he had the fox inside and he didn't want to take the risk. I remember the toads had also mentioned that Naruto's form was closest to human and even Jiraiya was more toad like.

 

Naruto only learned he could combine sage mode and kyuubi mode because Kurama told him he did it previously. I guess Minato would've learned to use it like Jiraiya did and be cautious enough about the new chakra source to put off summoning the toad elders.

 

Or you know, when you have infinite chakra it isn't hard to balance the finite amount of nature energy you pull in with your own energies, and Minato is a god damn fucking genius and he figured it out very quickly (having already played with it some and figuring it was too dangerous) after coming back to life.

And as I read this new chapter, I realized one thing. Let it be known, that wherever Kishi takes the Naruto Manga, Maito Gai will forever be The Boss. If there's one good thing that still remains intact in the Naruto Manga, its Maito Gai and Rock Lee. :3

I was actually expecting a 666 Satan reference somewhere in there. Don't think I saw one.
