Tywin saying yeah was really weird, but it was pretty good other than that. Definitely a great actor and character.

Telltale Games announced Game of Thrones game.

I heard rumors about it before and personally I would prefer it to be ASoIaF game (for a different, more "bookish" design of characters and world), but it should be good. Though I will wait for all episodes before buying it because waiting months for few hours of playing is not what I consider fun.

Cool. This is the only type of Game of Thrones Game (Game of Thrones?) that I can see working, really. Since decisions made by the main characters have such a huge impact in ASoIaF/GoT, it seems like it might work great with the format that Telltale have going for them.

And like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones is sort of a concept that works more based on the world and its ambiance than on characters. Like, I'm sure we could all imagine a really great GoT game where not a single central character is even glimpsed.

The trailer which is coming on Sunday, by the by. So, fifteen second teaser for three minute trailer coming in two days? Noooooo complaints, look at dat Red Viper twirl. Also, the song featured in the teasers and thus will be the one in the trailer probably is this one, and it's yet another pretty neat song along the lines of Seven Devils and Bones, so woot.

Oh, and air date for Season 4 was announced to be April 6th. Boo yah.

As a huge fan (if you couldn't tell by my Name and Quote), I eagerly awaited the Trailer. It had its issues (namely the song), but overall it was excellent.

For one, we got to glimpse things I've been looking forward to for ages, including the Red Viper. We also saw new stuff they're doing, from the curious Jaime/Joffrey conversation to the horrifying whats-his-name presumably giving a baby to the White Walkers.

But my personal favourite part was the Wedding. I could seriously see them spend the entire episode just on King's Landing during that day, from the beginning of the day all the way to the end of the feast, without stretching things out thanks to all the crazy shit that happens that day. And it doesn't hurt George Martin is directing it. I won't say what happens, since I don't know the rules on Spoilers here, but trust me when I say the Purple Wedding should be awesome. And if anyone's curious, it's called the Purple Wedding for the wine. There is just so much wine at that wedding. Why, near the end people will carelessly dumping it on the floor. Drunken fools.

Eh. I felt it was kind of lackluster compared to the season 3 trailer with MSMR.

    Wow, smooth, Rhaegar.

I also thought the trailer was 'meh'...I also am fairly disappointed with Pedro Pascal as Oberyn Martell, he just isn't quite what I imagined, especially with that short hair.

I liked the trailer. It wasn't perfect, but it was aimed for broad-spectrum appeal.

Oberyn worries me. He seems enough, but not half-mad as he is portrayed (and observed) as in the books.
My friend and I were discussing it the other day, and he suggested Ben here.

Okay, that may be a little silly. But still- I want Oberyn unpredictable.

    GoT Season 4: A Foreshadowing

Hah to the responses to "what are Joffrey's redeeming qualities?"

Anyways, this got me really excited for the new season. A couple months to go!

It's about that time of the year, now.

    Gotta re-read the books.

Trailer #2: Vengeance was released a few days ago. I like it better than the first, but still thought last year's with that MSMR song was better. Definitely getting hyped now that its a month and a half away.

As a curious side note, HBO apparently had to remove the MSMR song from last season's trailer due to legal reasons. They pulled the video and replaced it with one that doesn't have it playing in the background.

I really want a scene where Podrick is escorting Sansa somewhere and Ser Boros (the fat useless one if anyone remembers) is around and being a dick, and Podrick's trying to be polite and get past him and Boros says something and Podrick is like "Bitch, I killed Moore. Don't make me killing Kingsguard become what I'm known for."

    *shrugs*

... I really want a snippet or something out of that. Podrick the Kingsguardslayer.

I have to say, I'm really trying to like this series. Problem is that I hate almost all of the characters. Makes watching them all die easier, but it makes it very hard to watch the show. Had the same issue with the books to be honest.

They're not that likeable, I just love that they are somewhat realistic. I'm actually relieved Westeros isn't filled with perfect Gary and Mary Stues.

Also, can't wait for Aryas storyline to progress :>

There's a wide gap between Mary/Gary Stu and "not even remotely likable/sympathetic." Ideally you hit the middle ground. Game of Thrones tends to have too many at the unlikeable pole.

I was hyperbolic, my intent was to illustrate that realistic characters in a medieval setting (which Asoiaf is) will seem unlikeable and unsympathetic to people with a modern morality. Which is what I enjoy about it.

Eh, I'm not looking at it with modern morality. I'm just not a fan of characters who are shitty to each other and themselves for its own sake.
