I know, right? This was actually a fun chapter. Byakuya walked in, gave Rukia a short pep talk, taunted the enemy, then sort of stood to the side and said 'have at him'.

This arc is starting to look like the result of KT exploring Western Europe on acid.

 

Rukia's bankai certainly seems to surpass Toshiro's since it instantly freezes everyone nearby along with anyone who touches her.

 

It does one thing but it does it well. I wonder if she can't use it more than once a day or something since it reminds me of Soifon's.

I wish to punch this "V" fellow in the face. Shame it wasn't "V" for "Vendetta".

 

Theres a joke in there about Kubo making an enemy that disappears so he doesn't have to draw more. Rukia's outfit really seems to match Mugetsu as well.

 

There's also one about Kubo playing Elder Scrolls, I suppose.

 

Rukia's Bankai was surprisingly nice. And the dress wasn't too tacky.

This new filler enemy mook guy though? Fuck off, ugly piece of shit. I'm so bored of these worthless filler fights.

 

Didn't think of the weepings angels but the silence vibe was immediate. And he's just as ugly.

New chapter is out. Yachiru is... Surprisingly awesome, it's refreshing to see a lieutenant that isn't Renji do something useful.

 

There's no way shoulder loli will lose the initial fight but I imagine when he goes vollstandig she will be put on the ropes. That'd give Kenpachi the opening he needs to kick ass and take names.

 

I'd prefer it if she and Isane handle business themselves. Then as soon as they're done, we get a glimpse of Kenpachi and Unohana who finally get back in the game.

 

I would prefer it if tiny little Yachiru gets put on the ropes and then... Bankai, where she proceeds to dice them.. It would be nice to see there be a real, in universe, reason for her being placed above the likes of Ikkaku.

 

You mean other than the fact that Zaraki is Zaraki and more than likely willing to cheerfully shitmurder anyone thinks his way isn't the best way?

 

Well Ikkaku was never that great to begin with, and Kubo's hinted at least once before that Yachiru is actually quite powerful.

 

She's placed above the likes of Ikkaku because she doesn't need to go Bankai in every fight just to not get her ass kicked.

Apparently we're about to find out why everyone in her division is afraid of her, because it looks like her Shikai is one of the stupidly overpowered ones.

 

Yea, I give on all those points. I guess I care less about bankai and more about an interesting fight.
