edit: Looking at the dates, Impero cancelled the five-year-old MDP-turned-MDoAP Balkan Entente treaty less than a month before he stepped down and Goldie took the reigns. Goldie had been pushing to cancel for years and I'm guessing that his pretty-much-assured rise to the Lordship led to this.

Goldie had been pretty clear [in back channels] that he was against us, so it was never going to go well when he became the leader of our oldest and most assured friend and ally.
