April 25th if you check the DkS 2 website.

Anyone know the filesize of the digital DL? I've heard anywhere between 6-14 gb.

    April 25th is for PC.

Console version releases tomorrow in NA.

And the 360 version is 7.3GB, while the PS3 one is 6.7GB.

Yes I did preorder from a brick and mortar. Its my birthday today and one of my relatives gave me a voucher for JB HIFI, an electronics (and game) store in my area. Everything else is too expensive to buy with only a voucher so I just used it as a deposit. I wanted a physical copy anyway since I have one for Demons and Dark Souls albeit on ps3 for back when I owned one.

Real Quick first impression. It feels more like DeS 2 rather than DkS2, in terms of design/map layout.

    Really enjoying it though.

The existence of a Maiden in Black equivalent and the hollowing mechanic being somewhat similar to Soul Form certainly helps, too.

This is not at all a bad thing in my opinion, just for the record.

The Old Knights though. God damn. My weapon barely does anything to their health bar and I must have died at least 20 times to the three OK's in the tower.

That one right before the tower boss (Have you seen/beat the other one?) with the sword was the bane of my existence.

On the other hand, I still cannot kill pursuer.

I've beaten every OK before the tower boss only once, but I ended up rolling off the side of the area outside of the tower boss and died. Since then, I haven't been able to kill all the knights in one run and it's only getting harder as my Health bar gets smaller. As for the Pursuer, I haven't even started the Foredt of Fallen Giants yet.

The Pursuer was strongly reminiscent of Artorias to me, which is a good thing considering how rad the Artorias fight was. But it completely lacked music and, to be honest? I have no idea what Curse does in this game, since it's clearly not the same as in Dark Souls 1.

Could have been a little better, but still, that boss was good!

Curse takes 10% off your health bar should you die before getting rid of it. Or so I heard.

On top of the normal loss from hollowing?

Yes, this one happens independently of whether your health bar has already been halved by repeated deaths in hollow form.

Oh holy shit, that could get nuts. Good thing I didn't let myself get hit by the Pursuer's grab too many times.

EDIT: Killed a few other bosses today. Most notably
The "Old Dragonslayer." I got his soul and the "Old Leo Ring." The title, ring, and - of course - appearance of the boss was all directly referencing Ornstein. That was so badass. The fight was just a one-on-one, though, so it wasn't as hard as Ornstein and Smough from DaS though. ;)

Lost Bastille first boss, from pursuers eagle, has been the most annoying thing in existence.

Has anyone hit the respawn limit for any location yet? I was farming the giants for souls when I noticed that they didn't come back after a while. After doing some research, apparently From decided to impose a respawn limit of 15 kills per monster and the only way to reset th me counter, that I've found so far, is to use a Bonfire Ascetic every time they'd stop respawning. If so, do you know of another way to reset true counter?

A few times. I tend to lean towards Co-op for souls, you gain them far faster and a lot more.

Edit: How in the hell do illusions work? What's the trigger now?
