I'm actually quite sure that there is some decent twilight fanfiction, I just don't want to wade through the mountains of shit to get to it.

A cursory glance makes it look like a cesspit of smut, something I try to avoid if possible.

 

I do recall seeing a fairly good start to an HP/Twilight cross on ffnet a while back.

Either it was deleted or I just can't find it though, and it wasn't very long anyway.

Nah, he'd handle business well enough. You forget Blade killed a God, an entire sub-race of vampires and Dracula himself before escaping an FBI coroner's department and heading out across the world. The Twilight Vampires might be blatant superhumans, but he's pretty superhuman himself by the end of the trilogy.

 

And then there's the comic Blade the movies were based on. I've never read Twilight, so I have no idea what their abilities are like, but Blade is a not-insignificant character in the Marvel universe. The Twilight characters would have to be pretty damn high-end in terms of vampire lore to bother him much.

 

He's a badass, no doubt, but 'verse vs 'verse, Twilight vamps are more powerful :/ .

Well, he's pretty insignificant in terms of usage (You really don't want to hear me on how badly they treated him when his popularity exploded from the movies), to the point he's only just started getting back into the nick of things.

He's a little bit different in the comics. British for one, with ties to Marvel UK characters and a heaping host of back up in guys like Excalibur and MI-13. Ties to Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider via the Midnight Sons (aka that one time Marvel put all their biggest supernatural characters together and had them beat some demons, banish all vampires from the face of the earth and generally be awesome), Ties to SHIELD by virtue of being their go-to-guy along with the Howling Commandos for supernatural ops. As for powers, he's much the same as the films but on the higher end of things, occasionally tangling with the X-Men or Avengers when they're fucking idiots enough to poke their noses into his corner of the universe.

He more peak-human than superhuman, but when it comes to killing vampires, there's literally no one in comics whose his equal. It's his thing, like Doctor Strange's thing is fighting cthonic and eldtrich beings more often than he shits, or it's Ghost Rider's thing to kick demonic ass.

 

Hashasheen has it right. As scary and powerful as twilight vampires are (though one can barely call them that), Blade would mow through them, if not like a hot knife through butter, than like a chainsaw through a tree.

 

I feel dirty arguing in favour of the Twilight vamps, but I still feel that their inherent strengths would outdo Blade's, and that's not taking into account all the special magic abilities some of them have.

 

This. Blade trilogy is one my favorite movie series, I haven't read the comics behind them but movie-verse vs movie-verse, twilight would rip him apart. If your talking about actually skill, Blade wins, but twilight vamps have speed and who knows what abilities to back them up. Can't kill something you won't even know is coming until your dead. Give Blade that speed, and he'll win, without it he might as well be human.

Like I said, just taking movies into account. Haven't read either series.

 

It depends on whether you go with the comics or the films. In the comics he starts off as more of a human that is immune to vampire bites, but then gains some vampiric traits after being bitten by a super vamp. Those would likely allow him to fight on par with a Twilight vampire, so I'd give him the win there.

In the films he's explicitly a half-vampire with all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses. He's able to fight and win against pretty much any vampire (genetically enhanced or not) while relying entirely on the serum that reduces his need for blood. When he does drink it, he kills the Blood God. This one I'd give to Blade too, though he'd likely need blood for it.

 

That's if you are saying the vampires are the same. If you are saying the two different types are one and the same, then yes Blade > All. But if you are saying they are two different breeds, and if Twilight vamps were to verse Blade and Blade vamps, then Twilight > Blade. But if you were to combine to two verses and give them equal abilities, again, Blade > All.

 

Wait a minute, I know that screenshot - Contagion Webseries. It had potential, but after 2nd episode they stopped posting. Pity.

 

Ugh. I'm looking at the wiki now and I can see the rationale now. Jesus Christ those things are excessively powerful. The Raiths could take them though.

 

Blade's not an idiot though. He spots vampires walking around in sunlight, he'll figure something's up and do his research. And then he'll start planning.

 

I know of only two good Twilight fanfics - one is already mentioned HP/Twilight cross Envenomed, and the other is completely canon-based pure Twilight:

My Lost Youth

It is from the perspective of Edward right after his transformation into vampire in 1918 and follows from there with a bit of exposition in the beginning.

It has no Bella, Jacob or others fucking annoying characters, no romance, only good Edward/Carlisle bromance. Granted Edward is a bit angsty and emo, but reading it from his perspective about vampirism is interesting.

Great fic,12 year old Naruto is interesting and, while staying true to canon, is beginning to change in ways that can only make for better reading.
The other characters are also handled very well, and the author is both technically competent and appears to actually have an idea where she is going with the fic.
Personally I think it's Library quality.
I'd rave about it more but I'm tired.

 

And then he get shanked by the emopath who got a precog girlfriend. Or by the cabal of haxx because they wanted the duo in their ranks. Or by the wolves. Or by that one hunter with tracking superpowers. I'm sorry but while Twilight is basically a drama/angst fanfic written by a repressed 40y old it's still on an higher tier than Blade.

It's like arguing that Cyclops would beat Superman, it doesn't compute.
