Anyone else think that Maggie burning the photo was kind of just asking for it?

Yeah, I viewed it as foreshadowing. Maybe she'll end up dying in a fire or something.

Am I only one who wished they'd have shown Maggie's tunnel escapade? It sounds like it was really awesome, and I don't like awesome stuff happening off screen.

I'm both super terrified and super excited about Terminus as I think that this is where we'll finally see the Hunters in some form. I thik that Joe and his group are just scavengers at this point, but the dynamic between them and Daryl is pretty cool. I'm also worried that we've seen Beth for the last time this season, but we'll see. I'm not 100% sure about which of the two groups is the Hunters but holy hell the entrance to Terminus is just creepy.

As for the photo burning, I'm not quite sure it's foreshadowing. Or at least, my heart is screaming it's not because if it is I'm gonna gank someone.

Prediction: Michonne dies, Rick finally loses his hand and they escape Terminus. Also, potentially we'll see a glimpse of the next settlement Alexandria which I'm really hoping the show directors are going to include.

    Just saw the S4 finale.

I think that Terminus is about to have some indigestion.

Kill all the Termites. Their leader, Gareth or whatever his name is, seems like such a smug punk. I hate him.

Did they meet up with Carol sometime off-screen before they entered Terminus? Because that's the only way I can imagine their getting out of that boxcar...and now we have to wait a year to find out?!

    Yooooooooooooooooo.

First off, fuckin' cliffhangers. But hey, it's not all that bad. The group's all together, nobody's dead, and wildcards Beth, Beth's kidnapper, Carol, Ty and Judy are still out there. Terminus is fucked. All kinds of fucked. Not without eating a group member or two, no doubt, but still. How it's going to play out over the first half of next season (As I'm guessing, given the arc structures and shit) is the real curious part. Can't just have Rick's group chill for a while. Won't just have it resolved in the first episode. Ah well. I feel vaguely at peace with it all, mostly because the whole season and the rest of the finale was so awesome it defies words.

Speaking of defying words, the Rick character work here? YOOOOOOOOO. I had a feeling he'd rise to new heights of dizzying badassery, but the throat rip and the stabby stab and the everything? Goddamn, man. That's how it's done, man. And the juxtaposition of the flashbacks - Hershel ;-; - with the main action was fantastic. Not very finale-y, but at the same time very finale-y in a character sense. Carl and Michonne and Daryl development was on point too, and Carol, Ty, Glenn, Maggie et cetera already had their resolves last two eps, so yeah, awesome. But again, Rick. RICK. MOTHERFUCKING. GRIMES. That's why he's my favourite. All of this.

But yeah. Walker Kill Of The Week to Rick with the Python to the face (The flashback transition between about to kill it and then coming back as he did so? Fucking amazing.), but Human Kill Of The Week? Well duh, throat ripping. Though Michonne doing some quick thinking with the gun and Daryl stomping a guy to death needs props too.

So now my watch begins. I will make it. The hype is real, tho.

And also? Beth in the sheriff's hat may have been simultaneously the cutest and hottest thing ever. Hail to the new sheriff in town. The old one's busy tearing bitches up.

Some thoughts on the season 4 finale of 'The Walking Dead'...

    1. So Joe and his merry band ambush Rick and company from behind. A branch cracking in the woods is enough to attract their attention, but not the scuff of boots on asphalt or any of the other hundreds of sounds a group of people should be making while fumbling in the woods. Hmmm.

    2. Daryl gets knocked around by two thugs, but Rick, Carl and Michonne all receive one on one attention. So Rick pushes back and Joe's gun discharges, sending both his and Rick's head a-ringing. With Daryl on the ground, weapon less...doesn't this seem like an ideal time for those two to break away and help subdue Rick?

    3. Was I the only one who, as opposed to the horror displayed by the other characters, thought Rick treated the prospective rapist's murder with restraint? Gutting him and leaving him for the walkers would have been a far more deserving fate.

    4. Daryl describes Beth as being 'gone'. As he well should. I have doubts that the writers will stick to that conceit, even if the unknown nature of her fate would be ultimately more effective.

    5. Hugely enjoyed the group being herded like cattle through the 'A' maze. That, more than anything, said loads about the nature of the meat being grilled up.

    6. Not exactly the Terminus reunion everyone was hoping for, but it leaves the show in an intriguing place. That being said I wonder if the corner they've been placed into is perhaps too tight. The people running Terminus have been doing this for a long time, and must have grown efficient at it. I fear the ultimate escape may require suspension of belief on par with Rick's initial escape from Joe's group...but I hope to be proven wrong.

    Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. Dat season finale.

I fucking knew it was going to be Cannibal-time. My brother didn't believe me but I friggin' knew it. Terminus was always going to be too good to be true. Still, this season has been so god damned epic, the show has come a long way since the Lori-days and the flip-floppin' on how Walkers work etc.

Its gonna be a long ass wait for the next season but this time round, I'm sure its gonna be worth it!

    Rick Grimes. That is all.

The weird feeling of thinking, "Kill them all. Leave no survivors." Wow.

So I thought I'd post that it's like three weeks out until San Diego Comic-Con, which means Walking Dead S5 trailer's gonna hit. They're about five episodes in, filming-wise, for Season 5, so about that many episodes worth of material to be mined for the trailer (Probably. See under spoiler tags below and junk). S3 and S4's trailers were amazing, with that mix of thinking that they just spoiled everything and spoiling nothing/outright lying once or twice, so look forward to it!

Brief detour to say that the Saturn Awards just passed. The show won for an overall best cable series kinda award, as well as Melissa McBride aka Carol winning best supporting actress for drama TV (For The Grove, no doubt. Kicked ass there), and Chandler Riggs aka Carl for best young performer (For After. Again, ass kicking). People dun good. Me proud.

And, as a bonus, Greg Nicotero won a lifetime achievement sorta award, and sent a video in for his acceptance speech, which features twenty seconds at the start of Rick, Daryl and Abraham killing walkers (With the Saturn Award, even!) together. It's hilariously awesome, and even if those three never team-up like that in show, at least we had this!

That all aside, if anyone wants some spoiler-y S5 speculations using info gathered here and there from filming pictures, look below!

    - The gang ain't lasting long in Terminus. Like, first episode breakout probably. That's why above I said the trailer may not mine from the episodes that come next, since it's possible they'll want to hide that and just amp up the Escape From Terminus angle. Of course the people in Terminus will probably go on to haunt our heroes for a bit, so look forward to that. Hunters get hype!

    - Seth Gilliam has been cast as Father Gabriel. Seen on set with the preacher's garb and everything. He'll be a solid addition, but I swear to god if Tyreese or Bob dies just prior to him joining I don't think I have it in me to hear another wave of "replacing a black guy with a black guy" arguments again.

    - They are going to great lengths to hide Emily Kinney's presence on set. Sekrit Beth plots are sekrit. Episode Four it seems has had only a limited cast show up with her as one of them, so it might be an all Beth adventure. No complaints, really. Just get Daryl and Beth back together already, gawd.

    - Other random highlights: A car chase scene was filmed, Rick's beard is fucking out of control so there may be a brief timeskip ahead, the actress playing Rosita has been practicing with a bow and arrow, a leak indicates that a sonogram machine was used for a scene, there was a big scene involving Abraham and Rick getting into an argument, and perhaps my favourite: there's a firetruck. Covered in zombie guts. I want that firetruck to hang around forever. I mean c'mon, that's cool.

No real hints on who might've died, if anyone. Rumours here and there, debunked just as quickly as they're said. And then there's the fact that we don't know shit about the order of events filmed; some episodes may be filmed ahead of time, some shot simultaneously... All kinds of shit. it does seem like some characters are splitting up again, which I don't much love because I really do enjoy seeing the group together and junk, but if the storyline's not hanging around in one place for long at a base like the prison or the form, then it does make sense to split people again for efficiency. Or something.

Anyways, point is that I feel lucky so far not have been massively spoiled beyond notions, so I'm totally gonna stop looking this shit up now. I mean, it's like crack and junk, but it's, like, 'yknow, bad for me. Like crack. Dun wanna get majorly spoiled. So.

Either way. Get hype. For a trailer. And then wait three months. Yaaaay?

Here's hoping the trailer for S5 holds up as well as the one for S4 which was pretty great - insinuation, tease-wise - without spoiling any fun.

Thanks for scouring the info and putting it in the big spoiler table. :)

More of a teaser sneak peek that came out a couple of weeks back than a trailer, but hey, can't hate it. Twenty bucks on Carol and Tyreese leading dem walkers into Terminus or something cool like that. Meanwhile, I've been rewatching some S4 bits here and there this past week; amazeballs. The hype for the actual S5 trailer in six days or so is so real, man.

    So. Real.

I wasn't so hot about S4 at first got to say. It felt a bit slow at time but when it picked up... Rick going punisher on those guys who ambushed them. Daryl on his little quest, and finally the tension rising Terminus approach - you just knew SHTF in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1 Cannibal Time! and still enjoyed the reveal.

Rick's Kid looked really big. She seems to have grown up a lot in a couple of days.
