I accidentally read chapter 6 first and did not realize I had missed anything until I reached the chapter count at the end.

 

Funnily enough it didn't feel like i was missing anything. Scrubb's summary was enough to follow it. Then again I didn't particularly need to see Fleur's reaction to Harry's mistreatment.

 

Link is to sixth chapter, but as was said before, your summary was sufficient to understand the gist of what was going on.

Skimmed through it. Slytherin Harry is friends with Malfoy, Snape's a good guy, Harry resists Veela allure effortlessly... meh.

 

It's been pretty decent so far in my opinion. Mainly because it's not just handwaving things away yet, there's a solid background and backstory to bring to the fore. Not amazeballs but, decent enough. Reserving reccs until I get up to current.

Harry's not even close to being friends with Malfoy, and the only reason Malfoy had his heel-face-turn is because he became a ghost when Voldemort killed him while throwing a temper tantrum.

I'm not seeing where you got Snape is a good guy from, given that Harry is constantly holding himself back from cursing the shit out of him.

Harry resists the Veela allure because he's actually 25 years old, seriously experienced in Occlumency and is of dubious sanity. Even the Sorting Hat points out how fucked up he is.

It's still meh, but not for those reasons.

 

I know that after reading how Fleur had cornered herself Bill after one of the tasks, and adding to that Harry's character, it's no surprise the fic won't go that way.

And yet, I can't help it but feel that all interest I had for this fic is suddenly gone after that confirmation.

Well, at least Octavious's Champion story seems to have brighter, and brighter future after joining in the WbA, and also Sesc claims he is not dead, we might finally get to see what is that french affair he writes about

Read through I'm Still Here and Champions. The first one is pretty much a cliche ridden guilty pleasure. I love time/dimension travel and it will have some Fleur action so I'll keep reading.

Champions on the other hand was fantastic. Thoroughly recommended.

I have a hard time reading any type of time/dimension travel story, either regular fiction or fanfiction. Mainly, I think, because it opens up such a plethora of issues and problems that I just don't want to deal with it.

I can only think of two that I've enjoyed, and neither of them are Harry/Fleur.

The selling point/hook of this fic was the potential Harry/Fleur, but after a direct "WoG" confirmation that it isn't gonna happen? My interest died quicker than a bloke's sex-drive when seeing a size twenty chick in lingerie.

Yeah; it died that quickly.

 

I know a few dudes who would argue vehemently against this. (Hint: It's not me and they're black)

 

I second that notion. Mine died even faster than that, barely get through the third chapter.
