I am the Town Auditor, my ability requires 2 gold but it allows me to look at someone and see how much gold they currently possess. I used it the first night on Fonti and came up with 4 gold.


The reason I felt the need to reveal is because currently only two people are claiming to have received 1 gold from her and that means either:

A) she used a power that costs 2 gold
B) one or two other's received the rest of the gold.


Make of this info what you will. If I'm jailed or killed tonight it won't matter as I don't have enough gold to run a second check. If I survive longer and received a single gold I can run a second check and see who's used all theirs. We might be able to determine who Day-vigged based on that.

That actually meshes with Titus' question. The third gold goes to Lucky, the fourth was used to run her ability is possible. Or third and fourth went to Lucky and she never got a chance to take out a second hit.

It's possible and covered by the second option in that only one other person received a gold.

What I'm more concerned with though is that Proph told me in my QT that all Town Vanilla roles start with 3 gold. I'm not a town vanilla role but I started with 3 gold so I'm curious why the weatherman starts with 4 if she did indeed start with 4 gold and wasn't given one.

A) If she started with 4 gold and used her power once for 1 gold, and then distributed the rest, that means there's potentially a third person.
B) If she started with 4 gold and used her power once for 2 gold then we don't know what happened.
C) If she started with 4 gold and didn't use her power and then distributed the rest there's 2 others or someone's lying.

The option that really worries me is option C as it means that she potentially gave 1-2 gold to scum and they're hiding that fact. Either way we KNOW Fonti was town so what we need to figure out is what happened to the other 2 gold.

My original plan was to be jailed, reveal this to one person who could send me one gold. I'd use it on them to confirm their remaining amount and then we'd reveal the whole thing. This can still work outside of jail but then we run the risk of me dying or the recipient dying before I can confirm their amount.

Best case scenario at this point is I get hit in the night and deliver my one gold to the person I think is most town.

Especially since if I die and my role is revealed you can look at the appropriate people anyway.

This is also untrue as Lucky claims to have received the same "message" as you via the 1 gold "clue thing" a while back. Therefore I'm assuming either Lucky is town or two of: Titus, Lucky and Zennith are scum buddies and one of you is lying to throw off the number of gold you really received.

Therefore:
1)Someone got two gold between the three of you and is lying.
2)Someone got 1 gold and hasn't posted.
3)Fonti used one gold and gave out 3.

 

Considering Lucky misunderstands the purpose behind the message in that very same post, I wouldn't rely on that being a confirmation that he got exactly the same as Titus.

That said, w/e. This discussion is relatively pointless unless we can pinpoint the perpetrator behind 1) or 2) or get some information regarding 3), none of which I see happening any time soon.
