I dont know, Merlyn helping Oliver would be good, only if it dosen't redeem him and he's a villain Oliver will have to fight in the future, it's something I was looking forward to a more hero Oliver vs Merlyn. But Slade would probably still wreck Merlyn.

If Merlyn recognizes Sara's fighting style it'd be cool

    Slade is fucking awesome.

I really want to know how Oliver first 'killed' Slade, if he did at all. Which Oliver evidently believed he did, when he saw him again.

I keep getting the feeling Slade will kill Sara, but somehow get driven out of Starling City, you can't kill Deathstroke and I'll be so pissed if they do :/

He shot Slade in the eye. There was a scene an episode or two back where he was sitting in his office without his eyepatch, and the eye cavity was just empty. Obvious CG, yes, but still creepy as fuck.

The whole plot of why Slade wants to kill Oliver is pretty dumb. Really CW? Can't do a single show without a love triangle being a plot point.....

I figured it was pretty apparent that Slade wanting to kill Oliver was more because of the Mirakuru driving him insane than Shado. I'd guess it's sort of like the whole Captain America's super serum thing (which Deathstroke's serum has always sort of been based off of, from what I know of the comics) - it amplifies what you're like before the serum. So Slade is a bit in love with Shado, the Mirakuru makes him obsess over her. Roy has a temper, now he has huge trouble controlling his anger, etc.

The Mirakuru gave a short fuse to both Slade and Roy, not just Roy. When Slade was first injected with it you could see the rage affecting him and his thought processes. He's just had more time than Roy to learn to deal with it -- not to mention he was a trained and experienced soldier before he was injected with it. His mental fortitude would just be greater than Roy's.

Just watched last week's show last night. Absolutely brilliant. Laurel's about to undergo massive character development I believe, and I love the darker side that's about to come out.

Gotta wonder if Slade is going to be incapacitated by Roy long enough to get the little sister out of there. Roy's still an unknown to Slade, right? So it'd be a surprise move, I think.

Also loved the Huntress in this episode. The actress put in a great performance, I thought.

Slade knows about Roy. Pretty sure the handshake gave it away.

Slade directly commented on Roy's strength during the handshake, yeah. He knows.

Hoooooly Cow. This felt like a season finale, especially with the last scene...

That last scene was fucking hilarious is what it was. "Sup, Laurel, just stopping by to tell you something you should probably already know. Peace."

Still, what a fantastic episode. Real shame that it's off again next week. I guess the timing was right. :(

I was expecting Sara to die, in reality, not as big a bombshell as I was expecting

And Isabel Rochev <3 Been waiting for that scene since I first saw her in the show. But as said before, one of the best episodes in recent memory, Ollie got played.

Bruce Wayne laughs at this rookie.

Bit disapointed at how naive Oliver was on signing over the company, but glad they did it at a moment like this where he was just on the breaking point.

Laurel finding out was done in an awesome way.

Roy's going out on his own now I guess...

Slade made it sound like Oliver had known about her being Malcoms daughter for years.... Ollies just gotta hope Thea and Laurel dont meet up. Haha....

Oh this show does things to me. It may just be pound for pound the best series on TV right now. I laughed when Isabel pulled the karate moves on Oliver. Slade is playing his cards very, very well but now it's time for the Queen's gambit. Poor Thea. And I swear, if Laurel goes off the deep end again I will kill something.

So bummed that next week is off.

When you said that I got the image of the actual boat flying into Queens Consolidated while Rochev was in a board meeting or something... No idea why, I just did.

Slade dropping that last line and then just walking away. Laughed so hard.

Alright, so I'm going to link two things here. First off, a preview: The Man Under the Hood", which will air a week from Wednesday. This already looks badass from the preview alone.

Second, the AV Club review of "Deathstroke." It's a pretty good review, and it does a lot to explain just why yesterday's episode was so good, but there's something vaguely infuriating about it being an A-, especially given the text of the review. Ah well.

With Roy skipping town, I'm curious as to whether he will be back in any of the rest of the episodes this season.

If they don't bring him back until next season, I would love for the writers to have him in Jump City between Season's 2 and 3. Would give a reason to bring Nightwing in if Roy had been chilling with the Titans and learning from them during that time period. Just a theory.
