So it looks like LEGO Harry Potter years 5-7 is on sale for 75% off. Is it a good game?

I've never really played the LEGO games before, but I happen to like Harry Potter.

 

Play them, it has nothing to do with the books or the Movies but it's fun. Best if you have someone playing with you. :awesome

T4 was an improved version of T3 and it looks like T5 is going to be another step up again. Maybe a couple of step ups. They've added a tech tree, overhauled trading, given you a family dynasty [instead of one immortal dictator], and introduced eras.

Also, this is first one with competitive/coop multiplayer. Four dictators can start on an island, and they can compete or help each other as they see fit.

If my Steam client wasn't borked I'd jump on this.

 

Yeah yeah. You weren't around so I impluse bought it. TBH I'd had it pirated forever, like I do everything. I thought the game devs did a decent job on it, so I wanted to buy it from Steam. Just my poor luck that it went on sale a day later.

That being said, I can' recommend the actual comic series this game spawned off of enough. It's amazing. The artwork is inconsistent, due to changing artists a few times, but the story, although slow at times, is goddamned beautiful in it's reimaginings of all the classic Fables. Super assassin Cinderella... c'mon who the hell saw that coming???

 

I didn't know that the deal is only available as a pre-order. In light of that, I won't join in. Sorry, but Kalypso isn't a publisher I trust to only deliver quality.

PS+ is the reason I bought a used PS3 for 80 bucks. I threw Bioshock Infinite, Batman Arkham City, Uncharted 3, and I forget what else free AAA titles are on there atm, to stick in the kids room.

The free PS4 stuff is absolute indie garbage not worth the time right now, but the PS3 and Vita stuff are easily worth the price of admission!

I wouldn't say the PS4 stuff is garbage, really (except Mercenary Kings, that game is fucking bad), but it is definitely smaller scale stuff. This is, of course, because the system is too new to actually throw out a bigger release on PS+. I expect they'll announce out their first major free game (maybe Killzone?) during E3, then after that it'll probably be back to smaller scale stuff for a while until the system builds up a bigger library.

Hell, that's why a good half of the Vita's PS+ offerings are PSP games or indies.
