The kunai already served its purpose as a beacon for Sasuke, what else is he going to do with it?

The only thing the kunai are useful for is teleporting to, so even if he could do Hiraishin, the kunai in his mouth is rather useless in that regard.

 

People are frustrated that Naruto's power-ups are always more variations of the same old tricks, but honestly, what else can you expect at this point in the story? These are power-ups, not knowledge-ups (although I think this latest power-up came with a certain sub-conscious/instinctive awareness of how to use it).

Naruto has a somewhat limited arsenal if you whittle it down to the essentials. Shadow Clone, Summoning, Rasengan, senjutsu, and jinchuuriki abilities. Fortunately for him, all of those techniques are incredibly powerful and versatile, and they all complement each other perfectly. By adding wind nature transformation to the Rasengan (which was powerful to begin with), Naruto created a truly fearsome jutsu, but it had a serious drawback in that it hurt him to use it. By becoming a toad sage, Naruto eliminated this drawback and further enhanced the Rasenshuriken so it could be thrown. Shadow Clones can use Sage Mode, making each one vastly more deadly (capable, in fact, of defeating Kage-level opponents on their own). Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and Tailed Beast Mode gave Naruto negative emotion sensing, chakra arms (allowing him to pull off otherwise impossible manoeuvres), Tailed Beast Ball, ridiculous speed, and superhuman chakra control. But neither Sage Mode nor the jinchuuriki power-ups taught Naruto a new technique (except Frog Kata, I suppose) - they just allowed him to innovate with what he already knew. And frankly, that's fair enough. He hasn't had time to learn new jutsu, since there's been more pressing concerns ever since Pain's assault on Konoha. When the war is done, Naruto will have time to learn as many jutsu as he wants.

As for Flying Thunder God, I doubt Naruto will be able to use it, as there's probably theory behind it, and I don't see how Naruto could have learned it just because of this power-up. Unless he has sub-conscious knowledge of everything Ashura knew, and Ashura was the real inventor of Hiraishin. God I hope not. It's bad enough that Tobirama stole Minato's glory.

 

I totally agree that its not possible for Naruto to come up with new Jutsus as he is not a genius. Power ups are easier to obtain and we are pressed for time right now. He only has to innovate.

 

Erm, nobody said anything about Naruto not creating his own jutsu. Because, he has infact done that with the Sexy no Jutsu and Rasenshuriken. The subject was about Naruto performing jutsu with no prior knowledge as to how.

Here's a question that has been twisted by fanon alot. So far, Naruto is the only character shown to have his Henge's last through physical damage. Is his henge unique or something? I honestly cant remember if it's canon or not.

 

I think Iruka did that right at the beginning of the story, impersonating Naruto to fool Mizuki or something, and getting smacked right into a tree?

I'm watching the new Anbu filler arc for Kakashi at the moment and I'm honestly shaking my head at Danzo. According to the filler arc Danzo was the one supplying Orochimaru with Humans to experiment on. He was killing Uchiha off and stealing their Sharingan long before the Uchiha Massacre. He was stupid enough to believe that one group of fodder Anbu is a match for a kage and he was a bit of a coward aswell if his reaction to Hiruzen's talking about the traitor being executed for treason was anything to go by.

Anime Danzo honestly reminds me of fanon Manipulative Dumbledore. How disappointing.

On another note have you guys seen the new poster for Shisui's Susano'o in the new Naruto game? It looks fuckin' badass.

 

Yeah, Shisui's Susanoo looks quite cool. Designed by Kishimoto, so it's pretty much canon. I really don't see how someone with Shisui's speed, skills, and kekkei genkai could have been defeated by Danzou, but whatever.

 

In the anime, they fight only lasts seconds but Danzo beats him by using Izanagi, steals his right eye and replaces the eye he lost from Izanagi. Kinda makes sense.

Do remember that Danzo goes toe to toe with Sasuke who has abilities far beyond Shisui, though ultimately loses.

 

Far beyond is a bit much. Shisui was considered in the same league as Itachi. To be honest, Danzo is pretty much fodder as far as Kage-level ninja go. Sasuke was half-blind in that fight if I remember right and he still killed him like ten times when Izanagi came into play.

But man is Kakashi ever racking up a kill-count in these episodes. In this arc alone I've seen him kill over twenty guys lol.

 

I'd say Shisui was as strong Itachi just after Itachi killed his clan, not having unlocked Susanoo just yet. Sasuke had that advantage, which was what he relied upon heavily to kill Danzo in the end.

Kakashi comes off as a pretty big asshole when it comes to Gai in the latest Anime episodes. Gai again and again turns out to be an awesome dude. Gai going gate mode in that scene was pretty bawse.

 

In this latest episode I'm on 358. Shisui just put a group of Mist Jonin under a Genjutsu from over 50 feet away and through a fuck-load of trees. How the hell did he do that?

Also, is anyone else in disbelief at how many times Danzo commits treason against Konoha or its inhabitants and gets off scott free? The manga portrayed him well, he came off as a cold bastard but had the honest to god protection of Konoha at heart. In the anime he really does seem like Manipulative Dumbledore who steals all of Harry's gold and Obliviate's him everytime he talks to somebody he doesn't approve of.

The anime has a very very bad portrayal of Danzo. I had a grudging respect/liking of his character in the manga but the anime set that on fire and pissed on the ashes.

 

I'm more inclined to go with this. Shisui might have been Itachi's equal earlier on, but by the time Sasuke and Naruto become genin, I can't imagine that would have remained the case. Prior to all of the craziness of people coming back from the dead and insane power ups of the resurrected Madara era of the 4th shinobi war, Itachi was up there with Nagato and Jiraiya of the most powerful, skilled, and dangerous shinobi in the world--while suffering from a fatal disease and ever diminishing eye sight.

Even without Susanoo, Itachi had only a handful of rivals in the world, and with Susanoo that list shrank rapidly. And is there really any debate that Itachi could have advanced even further if he had been healthy?

Of course this just highlights how badly the manga has gone off the rails in terms of power. For years guys like Itachi and Nagato were considered among the greatest shinobi in the world, but by the end of chapter 673 they are little more than mid level elite chumps.

 

To be fair only the Hokage, major villains, and chosen two really outclass them. And perhaps Guy going all out.

 

Gai going all out is easily the fourth strongest person in the manga. He went toe to toe with Juubi Madara and actually hurt him, a lot. Compared to Hashirama and Tobirama who got fucked up by him, and Naruto and Sasuke who are about to find out how strong they really are.

Itachi was a kage level ninja during his time in Akatsuki, able to take down tailed beasts on his own, thanks to his sharingan abilities, and beyond that with Izanami, which seems like Shisui's ability, only better and absolute.

Also, where the hell actually is Hashirama at the moment? We see Tobirma helping Sasuke, but where did Hashirama get left rotting?

Predicting right now that Sasuke will sacrifice his right eye to Inzanami Madara, only to hve Kaguya to come out and pick up where Madara left off, making Obito give him the other Rinnegan.

Yeah, but Guy going all out is still just straight power. Madara, Tobirama, and Hashirama could all likely beat him by avoiding him till he dies with clones and whatnot.

I don't see why Sasuke couldn't just get two Rinnegan eyes in the first place.
