I didn't have quite so bad a reaction as Spyder, but I dropped Stalking Harry Potter at the same point. It left me with no desire to read any further. I suspect that I subconsciously desired more Stalking Blood Sack, and so inevitably found Stalking Harry Potter as a remarkably disappointing substitute.

Either way, Nuhuh... this is all your fault.

This is not even almost recommendable, given that it's 2k words and abandoned. However the summary got my hopes up tremendously before I noticed that and I had to post it here and lament being let down. I swear I haven't read a good new fic in ages.

    Title: Silhouette of Shadows
    Author: Hermione Prime
    Pairing: N/A
    Rating: T
    Link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/9658863/1/Silhouette-of-Shadows
Story Summary: A fourteen year old Harry is shoved into the body of an older Harry in another universe where he is friends with Tom Riddle, a young and legendary politician, and the name Voldemort never existed. Now, he has to survive the Slytherin Heir who goes on the warpath upon concluding that 'his' Harry had switched places and is now trapped with a dangerous Dark Lord. AU. No slash.

I'd really like to read AU!Tom Riddle going to war with Voldemort now, does anyone know of any fics like that aside from Niger Aquila's Rectifier? Sorry for the non-recommendation post, I couldn't think of anywhere else to stick it.

What about Fate's favourite? It's an old story and it is some time since I've read it, but I think that it was quite good back then.

T3T's Thunderstorm is within the ballpark of what you're looking for. A young fem!Tom Riddle helps Harry fight an adult Voldemort. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7186430/1/Thunderstorm

Alright, since I've been directed here, I've got two stories for review.

    Title: Heir
    Author: Na'hiel
    Pairing: pre-Harry/Draco, minor Voldemort/Severus
    Rating: M
    Link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8393262/1/Heir
Story Summary: When Harry was five, he met his best friend: the sliver of another man's soul living inside of him. Things would never be the same again. Book one of at least two.

    Second:
Title: Harry Potter and Future's Past
    Author: Driftwood1965
    Pairing: Harry/Hermione
    Rating: T
    Link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/5664828/1/Harry-Potter-and-Future-s-Past
Story Summary: Starts out the day after the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry and Hermione meet the Goddess of Love, and she offers to let them go back in time.

    EmbryoHarry/Draco slash?

    NOPE.

Someone took Deus Ex Amor to another level, I see.

Correct on the Harry/Draco, the Voldemort/Severus is minor, and you have no idea just how correct you are when it comes to Future's Past. Fortunately the goddess doesn't show up too often after the first chapter and you get a VERY good story out of it. Good stories out of both, really as there are very few negative complaints for Heir, and at least one of them is because of Voldemort/Severus. Fortunately their relationship is not key to the plot and you can just skip past it.

    Shall check this one out

Yeah I've read that one, IIRC the younger version of Riddle may as well have been a character with any other name though. Was more keen for a fic where both Voldemort's are powerhouses in their own right.

Cheers to you both for the responses.

Fate's favourite also has an unfinished prequel. Sorry, I forgot to mention it. It's here.

First few paragraphs are dedicated to over-the-top Vernon abuse with belt-buckles and "blood everywhere." Yeaaaah, not looking good. There are better 'Harry grows up with Voldemort talking to him' fics out there without this angsty and cringing setting.

Summary states that there will be mild Dumbledore, Ron, and Ginny bashing. Thank you for telling me you write mildly badly, fic. Oh dear, Hermione wants to kiss Harry over Ron because she wants a 'magical' kiss. Proof that the author has never been kissed before? Well, here we go, the goddess of love outlines to Harry why Ron is an awful 'friend', and that Ginny dosed him with love potion.

    Nope, that's enough for me.

Strangely, that is the correct link text, but you've hotlinked it to a different story.

    WTF.

What's more bizarre is that I've never even SEEN the story that it's linked to. I'll go fix that.

I'd say Prince of the Dark Kingdom also fits that bill, even though it's only a side plot.

While the premise seems interesting, I read about half of the first chapter and it's riddled with mistakes:

Then the author pulls an American witch from his ass and some bullshit about Remus being her father(?) that is just confusing. Then there's a stupid repeat:
This is almost literally the same sentence twice in a row. I think that is all I need to know about this fic. Next please.

Also, fuck FFnazis for non-copypasta coding. Seriously, fuck them.

Has I'm Still Here by Kathryn518 been recommended at all? I can't find it anywhere and I don't want to post it in the For Review section until I know for sure.

Has that fic gotten any better? I stopped reading midway through his stay with the Flamels a few months ago.
