I didn't realize people were reading the Naruto manga for the realism. I always thought it was a fantasy manga.

 

Yes because random god-mode powers without explanation is really what drew us all in to the manga in the first place.

But on another note. The new Rasengan Naruto used in the latest chaper. It was Magnet Release. The hell? Gaara didn't get Magnet Release when using Shukaku's powers...

 

Yeah, it's almost like he's some kind of super-ninja or something.

 

Madara is the first and only guy using the ability but I believed he used it to beat down the bijuu earlier.

I believe he could have done so afterwards with his abilities. I believe that Mokuton jutsu that connected his body to the Juubi should work.

Madara practically does this earlier with Zetsu's arm.

 

Kakashi getting wrecked after all the wanking he received from Kamui spam makes the eye rape worth it IMO.

 

That was the reveal. Shukaku's sand powers? That's all Magnet Release. All this time Shukaku and his jinchuuriki have been doing the same thing as the Third and Fourth Kazekage except with actual sand.

This may have also been the reason that Gaara was said to be "compatible" with Shukaku instead of Temari and Kankuro; he likely inherited Magnet Release from his father which would have optimized his connection with the bijuu.

At this point I don't read the manga because I enjoy it. I read it because of a combination of inertia and OH GOD CAN'T LOOK AWAY (kinda like train crash) effect.

 

Man, no wonder Kurama seems to be so much more powerful than the other Bijuu. They all seem to have some super awesome special power like over lava, sand, water and the like.

 

It makes sense that Kakashi loses Obito's eye. It was his burden and reminder of his past. He still had it back when Obito was evil because it was necessary to fight him, but now that Obito has had a change of heart and has gone back to his "good" ways, Kakashi no longer needs to harbor the living memory.

 

That awkward moment when, being inside Naruto's mind, Hagoromo can see exactly what he's thinking.

 

You know, I'd like to say I still read this, because of all the time I wasted on it, but that's just not true. If that was the reason, I would've dropped it years ago.

The truth of the matter, is that for all it's faults, I still like this Manga. Call it a guilty pleasure. For all the fanfiction that is arguably and definitely better, there's something about it that draws me in. Maybe it's simply because it's the Original, capital O. Every fanfic is a variation or distillation or altogether different take, but they all have the starting point, the same inspiration.

And even with the power-creep and the hax, and some shoddy writing, there are also a lot things about the Manga that I love. Naruto's probably one of my favorite Manga protagonists, personality wise. There are quite a few themes that I identify with. (Perseverance and Determination, Protecting others, etc) I even love quite a few Villains. (e.g Pein, Kisame, Orochimaru) The series has no shortage of good characters, who seem superficial at first, but after a moments thought, are actually pretty deep.

I've followed this story, from the beginning, and I can't bring myself to regret any of it. There hasn't been a single moment of this series that I haven't enjoyed in some way.

He's basically ninja Jesus. He's written as to be for all intents and purposes a saint. If that's something you like to read, then sure. Not so much for me.

 

Vash the Stampede and Yoh Asakura are somewhat saintly and I find them more interesting than Naruto.

 

Comparisons of Naruto to Jesus are always weird to me, if understandable. Still, I'm not talking about his nigh-inhuman inability to truly hate someone, but more along the lines that...he can be silly, but he's not as dumb as he looks or seems, but it's not to the point where's he secretly a super-genius either, in the vein of, as mentioned, Vash The Stampede or characters like him. I mean, he can be aggressive and mischievous and is actually able to express himself, unlike how someone like Ichigo sometimes is, but he's not as sheerly silly as Luffy.

What I'm trying to say is, while the whole Feel Good, I'm-Ninja-Jesus thing is a part of him, it's not the only part, like your making it seem.

Regardless, something like that comes down to personal opinion, as you mentioned.

 

The eye is pretty nearly useless at this point anyway. Kakashi said a few chapters ago that its basically 95% blind and can no longer transport objects from long distance.

In hindsight, thats probably in anticipation of this. Given how utterly broken Kamui normally is, if it was fully functional, would have made much more sense for Madara to keep the super-hax Kamui than get his other rinnegan.

 

Ehhhh. Kamui is useful if you need to get to that other dimension, like Madara does right now. Otherwise the Rinnegan is better in just about every way.

 

I don't actually remember anything about Kakashi's Sharingan going blind. Did it really happen cuz I'd like confirmation on that for future fanfic reference.

But anyway, there's a few explanations as to why he'd want his own eye back For one it is said that a Sharingan is much more powerful when you have both eyes. Wouldn't that transfer over to the Rinnegan aswell since it's just an evolved form of Sharingan?

And secondly, way back after Itachi first died it was said that the individual eyes contain powers. Like in Itachi's left eye he had Tsukiyomi and Amateratsu and in he left he had Susano'o. Has that been disuputed yet or is it still fact? I can't remember.

So until he gets his own eye back Madara could have lost the ability to use his Susano'o or something. And don't forget Obito's Sharingan isn't an Eternal Mangekyou so it would still eventually go blind.
