I got lynched D1 by an all-Town wagon on my first game, so...yeah. Know all about that.
I like to think I'm doing better now. WIFOM is my fourth game.

 

IRL, I used to play (mostly hosted, cuz everyone else knew fuck all) during class roadtrips on the bus. I won about half the time, but it must be totally different online where it doesn't matter if you can keep a straight face and where insulting people is not as touchy as doing it to someone's face. I suspect online games are much more complex.

EDIT: were you Town or scum in that first game?

Ok, so I've gotten my first Mentor offer, so I started a mentor's list. If you want to offer mentorship, I'm sure the new people would greatly appreciate it.

 

Hm, Riley, given that Ter's posted an /In, shouldn't she be in the sign-ups? Or are you keeping the list separate regardless?

Town. I was also town in Avatar and B&T.
No comment on WIFOM because either answer is frowned upon in an ongoing game.

 

If you've got more interest than you can fit, I'm ok with mentoring and giving my spot to someone new/someone that really wants to play.

(But of course I want to be in ceteris paribus heh)

 

Sloth, I'm keeping the two lists seperate for now as I'm hoping the older players will be willing to give spots for newbies. If the Newbs list fills before the sign-ups (which it should in all honesty) then that will become the sign-ups and I'll offer anyone not on it who is on the Sign-ups list a chance to mentor/replace.

Citrus: As far as I can tell you fit at least one of the criteria so you're /in as of now (especially since you're on both lists).

If you are "new" in some way and have asked for a mentor outside of this thread, please let me know.

Ehh, I'd say Brass and Tax and Witchhunts are definitely a bit more complex than Wifom. I'll mentor or whatever.

I understand way more about B & T than I do WIFOM, but that might be because I played in it. Either way, they're all up there.

 

Just skimmed the WIFOM thread. Color me intrigued. I hope the list fills out quickly, I'm eager to get started.

 

^Agree 100% on B&T. Then again, it's only been one Day for WIFOM.

 

We have a bit of time before the start date. I'll be sending out PMs when we get closer as a reminder and to re-fill the list if needed with those who have obligations that trump a silly game on an internet forum.

This is next in line in the queue but probably won't start till close to the end of WIFOM if not at the end. That also frees up some of the WIFOM players to be mentors (If desired).

 

Is there a rough figure for how long a DLP game usually takes?

 

Roughly 3 to 5 weeks.
