I'll be waiting with bated breath, Proph (really).

...It doesn't bode well that you're no longer watching the thread.

    --

    @Lyrium
    ...Uh.
...yeah, no, this has not made me relax at all. In fact, let it be known that Lyrium might in fact be scum.
The case on Maiden you've been asked for since the Day started and at this point I'm wondering if you had one to begin with.
The vote on Citrus...feels like it shouldn't take that long to just explain.
But fine, those two many RL got in the way and they're too complicated to at least summarize.
But the bit about finding something about Tish - which I didn't find while combing through yesterDay by the by - you said something that happened "pinged" for you. It should take you less than a freakin' sentence to just say what it was.
This, to me, is you waving away having to answer.

You know, I asked why you haven't voted because I was waiting some sort of answer like "I vote when I'm sure" or "I vote when I feel like it" or anything I could have conceivably accepted since I too do the same.
But the reason you gave is the one reason in which not voting makes no sense.
So when you were trying to evaluate someone (Maiden, Citrus), put some pressure on them and get a response so you can read them...you didn't vote on them despite your claim that that's exactly when you vote.

And then you vote Zennith, in the vote after I ask you why you haven't voted. The timing is... eh.

I need other's thoughts on Lyrium, but I'm officially wary of her. Prophy, if you get back, tell me. Citrus, you too. Rubi, already asked you.

---------- Post automerged at 10:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 PM ----------

ZENNITH. I see you watching right now. You better have something good to say soon.

Sloth, I don't care, blah blah blah.

Lynch me if you feel that way or tunnel or whatever.

The fucking case on Maiden is already explained, if you can't be bothered to read or don't agree I couldn't care less. She doesn't sound like last game, there is something off about her play. She keeps calling out people for things that, as a townie, she doesn't do herself. She's being mentored by Bill Door, a strong town player and yet shes still playing like a noob.

I already made a case on Zennith as suspicious on day one, we're trying to consolidate a lynch and he's the best choice from my pov. Both him and Maiden and now you think of me as scum but if you really do then tunnel me to death or lead a lynch on it. If I strongly could tell who was scum in this game I would do that.

Anyone else, "Real life boo hoo, can't post" shouldn't have signed up for the game. It makes it hard to play.

I have no conf!town read on anyone and so expecting anything else is asking me to make stuff up.

You're probably right - I have a decent grasp of the gamestate, and I'm caught up, but I haven't been really interacting with the thread much. I think it's partially a difference in playstyle - my new playstyle as opposed to yours (and my previous one) just doesn't make me interact with players a whole lot.

Some people quote everything and respond to everything, and some... don't. I'm more of a "present thoughts on players, analyze gamestate" guy, especially with me having not-decent access to the thread.

I'm able to play the game, you'll just have to give me time. I just haven't been able to get my head in this game, but my activity should pick up after the early days - my other game scripts are "take over game D1 (Avatar)" or "never get head in game (WitchHunt)"

CFTWR is "Caught For The Wrong Reasons".

You're not convincing me on Citrus-scum, though - I find wagon analysis more or less useless on a deadline lynch, and your second point is probbbbably owing up to lack of self awareness.

    @Zennith

Why that "just out of curiosity" rider?

You're simply my top three scum reads.

    ---

    :facepalm

    My god.

Can you get any more buddying-ish with this?

    @Snowvon

It was actually #84, as opposed to #58. I townread you for your lack of self-awareness + high-effort newbie.

I still think MathBlade is town, actually, but I skimmed over the posts that morning and saw that we had one hour on the clock, so a lynch > no lynch for me.

I'm caught up but I want to reread the stuff that went down during deadline.

Not a huge fan of nightkill analysis, since scum can WiFOM it up. Assuming they killed her for good reads + universal town read, though.

That was something to show what kind of mindset most of my posts have been coming from, and how I approach the game. Wasn't really a catchup.

    Hm.

    ---

If Maiden isn't up for a lynch at the moment, I'm willing to lynch Zennith.

    Unvote, vote Zennith

    Case coming soon.

If anyone has any more questions for me, restate them please.

If Citrus is scum, he probably didn't have a reason to ask for an extension unless his buddy was being lynched, and then he probably wouldn't mention it here in the thread. It could be faked, although lying about interactions with the mod is kind of taboo. Not impossible, but maybe font thought it was unlikely.

I think Lyrium is town. I don't know why she's avoiding our questions, but I read it more like a town player who doesn't give a fuck what we think than a scum player being evasive.

---------- Post automerged at 09:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:14 PM ----------

    Lol no.

You interact with other players - i.e. scum hunt - or you get lynched. End of story. If this is your "new playstyle" then I'm going to lynch you every game until you go back to your old style. You know, the one that involved actually being pro-town and lynching scum.

But having been scum with you before, I'm gonna say this is just some bullshit you made up to explain your lack of anything like town behavior this game.

    Why Zennith is scum:

Over-defensive explaining of why he hadn't posted yet. The game just started dude, no one cares - guilty mindset.

"It's townie at the moment, but.." - escape hatch.

"slight town read, not joining the wagon.. yet" - the "yet" implies an escape hatch so that he can hop on the wagon. He's also weakly defending Sloth without getting his hands dirty.

"scummyness" vs "scum" -> looking for a mislynch he can justify vs. finding reasons why someone is scum.

Self-conscious in the first part (how is it scummy..)

He's not commiting to anything in that second part. "sound and reasonable argument"

And he hops down that escape hatch! He's also not dirtying his hands on the Sloth mislynch.

He also didn't vote fontisian when he pointed out something scummy in her post, leaving his (useless) vote on Lyrium.

    Nothing post.

Comments on Rubicon without anything alignment-indicative.

    Last part is self-conscious.

Opportunistic scumread of Citrus, and he says he thinks Lyrium is scum.. when the last post he basically admitted to have a null read on her.

Proph - doesn't Null at best imply that, stretching it, I could at best not have a read on Lyrium? I still think gun to my head that Lyrium is scum. I find it ironic that you're harping on me for what you call an opportunistic scumread when you yourself are literally doing the exact same thing. Just a point of interest. And you're harping on this thing where I typed "out of curiousity" - that's just how I talk in general. You're reading in to something that isn't there.

I find this interesting, Rubicon - what, other than gut intuition, drives this read? I don't see why one person not answering makes them seem scummy to you while another doing the same thing doesn't.

Sloth - this is interesting to me as well. Personally, I have a tendency to withhold my vote until later in the day. Just a habit of mine, it's been rather consistent throughout every game before. You've even asked me that in past games and I've had the same answer.

Lyrium, my scum hunting is focused on YOU. Of course you don't want us to think that's productive. But I do love whenever somebody goes NO-U, which is the essence of your arguments against me in this game.

Look, at the end of the day - I'm voting for Citrus because I still find his harping on the non-issue of the didn't happen no-lynch yesterday ridiculous at best. Again, NOBODY WAS PUSHING FOR A NO LYNCH. THAT SIMPLY DIDN'T HAPPEN. Citrus was trying to create and craft a conflict out of thin air, and then when the rest of us point this out/don't rise to the bait, he backs off. This is scummy. If he was town and REALLY thought it was an issue, he wouldn't back off. But he has, and he's redirected focus. That doesn't make sense for a town player to do.

    VOTE CITRUS

First of all, you shouldn't be asking me why Lyrium is town for evading questions and you're not. You should be explaining to me why you've been evading questions.

She's laid-back, undefensive, scum-hunting (albeit mostly @ Maiden), analyzing, etc. You're not. So the difference is the rest of the person's play, and the response to pressure. Your response has been virtually nonexistent and wishy-washy when it does happen. (Compare to last game, where you were responsive, posting 10x more, giving plausible reasoning for everything you said, etc.)

(And avoiding questions but responding to demands to answer with "I don't care, blah blah blah. Lynch me if you feel that way or tunnel or whatever." is either town or experienced gutsy scum, imo. It's hard to pull off. Lyrium isn't experienced scum.)

---------- Post automerged at 11:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:04 PM ----------

Probably the best way to describe Lyrium's play is uncautious.

What reasoning do you need, then? What do you want to know that I haven't answered, what questions would you like to ask? I must have missed them from you somewhere along the line, right? If I have, by all means restate.

Frankly, I posted ten times more last game because last game I didn't have a real life event being produced that week like I have this one. I've been reading all I can on my phone and posting when I get home like I am, now, at two am.

What about that last post was wishy-washy? I laid out my two biggest scum reads and why. It isn't being overly defensive to call people out when they say ridiculous and untrue things.

---------- Post automerged at 02:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 AM ----------

You miss a third option here - poorly played scum. That seems a pretty clear option to me.

Well, let's look at your reasons for scum-reading Lyrium. First you said she's "overly goading and petulant" (#64). You were asked to explain how these adjectives made her scum. You didn't. Your next and AFAICT only explanation is that you have a "gut/intuition" read that she's trying to "blend in" by being active but not really (#296). I'd love to hear a more detailed case against Lyrium at some point.

You've implied but never explained a town-read on Sloth since D1, when you defended him for posting walls, said they were "at least seemed sound and reasoned argument" (but never said which argument you were talking about or what reasoning you agreed with). (#71). You said you were skeptical of the wagon building on him for "flimsy reasoning at best" which is fine but again, no reasoning from your side, no explanation for what you found flimsy.

In #296 you defend Maiden. I asked you to give details on what part of her post made you town-read her. You did not.

You've never stated any reads at all on Prophylaxis, Caligula/berk, Sesc, or even MathBlade when she was being lynched. Not engaging with Prophylaxis's alignment is especially bad.

You apparently town-read me although I don't know why because you've never said. Frankly a lot of your posts about me and Sloth look like buddying.

This is ALL of your interactions so far other than Citrus, who you're scum-reading for his poor reasons for scum-reading me.

On top of all that? Sloth has asked you a number of direct questions that you've ignored.

I didn't miss it. If Lyrium is scum then she's playing brilliantly.

You know what's striking? These fighting words. Previous post you didn't place a vote when you scumread me? And now you are completely confident I lied with all my end-of-day posts? This post has so much bullshit it in. Thanks, because the degree of illogical-ness you put here has scumfirmed you at this point. You're drowning with the sudden vote pressure (defensive much? Not around at all and suddenly flurry posting?) and trying to secure a mislynch on me before getting lynched.

---------- Post automerged at 02:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:12 AM ----------

Granted day end is in 9 hours, but I will most likely be asleep at deadline. You people need to show up and post/vote. I think I've hammered it in pretty well, but WE ARE LYNCHING TODAY

---------- Post automerged at 02:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:40 AM ----------

Also Zennith is a terrific lynch so we probably won't have Agent of the Dead tonight, but because we lynched yesterday the Spirit Tracker will definitively know we've lynched scum when they don't get a report tonight. Another reason why it was good we lynched D1 - more info for town

Ugh. I'm either completely wrong or everyone else is. What the hell. I'm not following a lot of this. Examples:

Really? I'd have asked as scum, simply because it's a Townfirm.
In fact, I did ask in my QT and on the thread itself (I was the first one to, I believe), and others did - Lyrium comes to mind.
He could have simply rightfully assumed we would (or get confirmation that we did from me) and tried to cash in on the towncred by doing the same.

Don't assume that, Lyrium's far more competent than you tihnk.

Also, it's easy to give off an air of being uncautious when
    (a) you realize that that this point it's your best option, and
    (b) there's no heat on you: You're being pressed but there isn't a single vote. It's easy to pretend you don't give a crap then, because you know there's no risk. Think about it.

Lastly, her "blah blah blah don't care" reads to me more as someone who is once again waving off having to answer my questions. Don't you think my point about what pinged her on Tish is valid? Don't you think what I pointed out about her reasons for not voting rightfully contradict what she's been doing? She hasn't addressed either. Seriously, am I the only one seeing that? o.o

    --

...Yeah, half of this is fairly good points, the other half make no sense and have obvious answers why it's probably wrong. I can go over those in detail if anyone wants.

Proph, D3 is your last chance. Your "new play" isn't working. Either become more a reliable player or be lynched.

    --

Seriously, people, what the hell is confusing about the case on Citrus?
Ugh, I understand that Zennith seems scummy, but Lyrium seems scummier. And either target is much less damning in my eyes than Citrus.
    I think he's our scum.

Sigh. Anyway, sorry about the rush, running off to a meeting now. Should be back in time for days end. Will hammer whoever has the highest votes if necessary, but if it's not Citrus, I think it's a mistake.

    --

    P.S. Also,
Holy shit, do you just not READ? How is this...ugh.

I'm assuming we have a living Spirit Tracker. However, they only start getting reports when the third town is dead.

At this point there are 1 or 2 town dead. Most likely Fonti is town.

If we need to consolidate a lynch, everyone put a vote on me. You'll have some info:
    1. I'm town
    2. Once the scum NK at the end of toDay there should be me, Fonti, and one other town dead and the Spirit Tracker can start getting reports.
    3. Once the Spirit Tracker gets their first report they will know that three town players are dead for sure.
    4. Once the "third two towns" are dead we also get a one-shot vigilante via the vengeful ghosts. That will provide more info to the town. (I assume that when the one-shot goes off it will be in the flavor and the town will confirm know that 5-6 town are dead).

The last vote count provided is off.

    Vote: Lyrium

    Let's do this.

---------- Post automerged at 11:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:19 AM ----------

Everyone who is town needs to switch votes on to me asap. This is the only way for town to move closer to getting reports and info which between all the bs we kind of really need.

Zennith, Maiden, etc. time to put your vote on your biggest scum read.

---------- Post automerged at 11:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:38 AM ----------

Also, it would be nice to have some sort of timer for deadline I can't even tell when day ends anymore. Around midnight today?

So we really need a lynch. It's me or Citrus, right now. Ignore lyrium's post, we don't have time to get in to those shenanigans. All that post does is throw a wrench into the works that we don't have time for. It's a pretty subtle way, it seems, of trying to drive a no-lynch, Lyrium. Clever.

Citrus read as town to me overall. His question about a no lynch is relevant. I brought it up yesterDay when I hadn't done a thorough read of the dead mechanics.

He could be playing clever and he needs to widen his net but asking players why a no lynch is a bad or good idea forces them to discuss the potential consequences of the day and how the game may play out. Which town should be thinking, right?

Prophylaxis, yeah the last post was bad but I would need to see his scum games to know better if it was just lack of interest or something else. He should be lynched next if he doesn't substantially figure things out.

Zennith, do something townie. Or better yet have your scum buddies NK me.

This seems more accurate (from Citrus last post):

    Citrus (4): Sloth (#273), Maiden (#299), Burkion (#300), Zennith (#348 )
    Maiden (1): Prophylaxis (#293),
    Prophylaxis (2): Snowvon (#307), Rubicon (#314)
    Zennith (3): Citrus (#338 ), Proph (#343)
    Lyrium (1): Lyrium

If there's only a hour and half left then unless people get their head out of the sand we are going to have trouble lynching.

---------- Post automerged at 12:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:05 PM ----------

Maiden and Snowvon disappeared. Zennith is bad town or bad scum.

I still think that one replacement is probably scum. It's more likely Sesc since the player he replaced was in the viewers of this thread once game started.

Burkion, I don't know, he replaced Cali who hasn't been active in a while on DLP. He's new and doesn't have any strong posts yet.

Rubicon, Sloth, Prophylaxis, Citrus - active or active-ish. Harder to read.
