Hell no. The baby monsters from Dead Space will haunt me for decades to come.

Saw Calvary this afternoon, and it's a close contender for film of the year so far. Absolutely incredible, especially Brendan Gleeson (or Mad-Eye Moody, as he's also known).

Just watched The Noah. The whole thing felt like an oWoD movie to me what with Fallen Angels (Demon:The Fallen) the first city of Kabil's line, (Vampire), Metussulah using magic (Mage the Awekened) etc. The only ones who were missing was werewolves.

Movie wasn't anything special tough. It felt a little too long.

I would suck approximately twelve and a half dicks for a moderately budgeted oWoD movie or television series. Assuming you didn't get some asstard director or script writers on board, and you focused on distilling the atmosphere down and emphasizing the modern supernatural feel, it could be glorious.

I really want to see some kind of representation of the classic oWoD gaming group, particularly a cross-splat one, where one guy is a werewolf, another person is a vampire, ect, and they get drawn together and forced to cooperate because of circumstances, like a werewolf who didn't want to be called and hates their other side, a vampire that's getting burn-noticed from his clan because of politics, and a garage-Batman type Mage character who didn't Awaken properly, starts to see crazy shit, and decides to wage a one man war against the monsters that lurk in the night with as many firearms and halfassed occult knowledge as he can carry.

There is actually a Vampire: The Masquerade tv series which is quite alright, even if it's low budget. But yeah, I'd take half the dicks off your hands for that tv series. xD

On the topic of vampires: I watch Vampire Academy and got exactly what I came for. It wasn't a good movie, per say, but it was funny enough and aware of itself. The exposition was a bit clumsy at times and they were trying a bit too hard to throw in a lot of stuff there.

And it's kinda sad that the "nerd who no boy notices" is the cutest of the three main girls, only with frizzy hair and glasses. Wouldn't mind seeing a sequel.

I bet they're going to fuck it up.

Why? Because they're going to have the US military successfully kill Godzilla, and that's just wrong.

Godzilla should be an undefeatable force of nature, that rampages through the city and then disappears back into the ocean. It should even be able to withstand nukes.

Xandrel, have you watched this trailer? They state, quite clearly, that nuclear testing in the Pacific during the Cold War, was aimed at killing Godzilla. They did not succeed. Also, they will not repeat that same fucking mistake that the first American Godzilla - the one with Zilla - made and change Godzilla into a huge dinosaur.

I except awesome fight and Godzilla and other Kaiju wrecking shit up. And humans doing jack shit to stop it. Pacific Rim showed us that Hollywood can make a good Kaiju movie.

Why has Disney not taken this idea and made a billion dollars with it? Talking Kangaroos rushing across the desert, narrowly avoiding being hit by trucks, fighting croc's and dingos. In the end, the 'roo family lives, minus the old grandmother who was shot by a hunter.

Tragic. Think Bambi with Kangaroos mixed with Finding Nemo. There must a character like Steve Irwin, and a Kangaroo that talks like Crocodile Dundee.

If you need inspiration, look at Winnie the Pooh.

    I never trust the trailers.

And in Pacific Rim? The humans won. While it was a good movie, it is just once more the same thing in all movies everywhere: "Humans rule, we will win in in the end and everything will be okay."

I know I'm in the minority, but I want a movie that shows quite clearly that humanity is doomed, has no chance and no amount of hope exists. Just once.

When I see posts like that I seriously question why I've stayed on this forum for this long.

How many times have you reread GoTs? It sounds to me your vision is embodied in the myth that is George R.R. Martin

Sorry, there's enough misery in the world without it seeping into my fiction - you know, the thing i genuinely enjoy partaking in.

I have a movie you'd love though, but saying it's name is basically a spoiler, lol...
