I think Synchro has the right of it. Only people in the know knew that Mito and Kushina were jinchuuriki. I don't think Konoha ever used them in war before Naruto. Jinchuuriki generally get blamed for the deaths the bijuu cause in their rampages as well.

Because of the previous incarnations bullshit I wouldn't put it past Kishi to make it happen. Asura and Indra fought over leadership that started this whole thing. Hashirama and Madara were next and they fought to be Hokage. Honestly, I think Naruto will just step aside and let Sasuke have it and that is just annoying.

 

Or the borders between countries are erased and the title of Hokage ceases to exist.

 

I'd almost be okay with it, honestly.

Sasuke having to steal somebody else's dream because he's a shallow little bitch-boy that doesn't have any other purpose or reason to live sounds about his speed.

This will only end one of three ways. Sasuke is made Hokage because fuck you, and Naruto fucks off to sit on a mountaintop for five hundred years, Sasuke dies and gives Naruto his power so Naruto can truly become the Second Sage, or the whole Kage thing disappears because we attained true peace, so we get to end on a sappy note where Naruto starts seeking a new dream.

Some combination of those details is also possible.

 

Madara and Hashirama didn't fight over being Hokage.

I'd only call it stealing his dream if he did it with Naruto in mind. He seemed to decide on it for entirely different reasons and with no regard for Naruto though.

I don't see any of those happening. They all sound terrible and completely unlikely. I also don't see everyone instantly erasing all borders and abolishing their governments. These are just the super powers. Other countries exist.

 

Or Sasuke becomes Hokage and Naruto becomes the head of all Kages as I think the alliance of the shinobi villages is going to continue. Though if Sakura somehow gets any top position then.....

Hinata as Kaguya. Now thats a scary thought. So she trips and bangs her head and sees Kaguya who hands over all her powers to Hinata just because and then she gets up to bash everyone.

 

Honestly, Sasuke becoming Hokage isn't really a big deal or a fuck you to Naruto from Kishi. Naruto's dream was to be recognized, respected, and admired by everyone in his village. Now, he's got all that and more from everyone fighting Madara, which is pretty much everyone from every village. In fact, I actually think Naruto would be better off not being Hokage or really anyone's leader. That way, he wouldn't be tied down by the responsibilities of leadership and he'd be free to pretty much whatever the hell he wants.

 

The last time I read naruto manga was around chapter ~600. Last night I read till then newest.

What the actual purple fuck. Giant belching flower? Interdimensional reincarnation? Alien Grandpa? And now Naruto has the Anal beads of Power.

Sometimes around Invasion of Pein arc Kishimoto wrote himself into a corner and since then Naruto manga was shot to hell.

 

According to Obito's rinnegan explanation to Sakura the Rinnegan is so powerful it can overpower just about anyone who is not a "Chosen One". This is why he only transplanted 1 eye. Yet Nagato/Pain possessed both eyes and did well enough for himself in fact it could be argued that Obito with his own MS was stronger than Pain. Does anyone have an explanation as to why the Rinnegan was so much more powerful for Obito than for Nagato? And why the Rinnegan seems to effect Obito more?

 

Didn't the Rinnegan change Nagato entirely, though? When Obito was talking about how overwhelming the eye was, I just pictured Pain sitting there like a shriveled old man talking about the end of the world.

Whether or not what Pain said made sense, or sounded rational, I think what Obito is saying is that the Rinnegan warps you, even if you still sound lucid after it does so.

EDIT: Hm, still forgot he was an Uzumaki, though. That does change the equation.

 

Okay, so Nagato was an Uzumaki which means he's supposed to possess the body of the Sage. Obito was an Uchiha so he was meant to have the eyes. Rinnegan is an eye jutsu/birthright so it makes sense that it would work better on Obito.

That's not the whole reason though. Obito had the DNA of the first Hokage in him as well, which is why he could use Mokuton. His body was primed to use the Sage's power.

All of that is useless against the Naruto/Sasuke combination. At this point, even with the Rinnegan in Madara they are too powerful. Madara is just stalling until he can get Kaguya or Kaguya's incarnation out so Naruto and Sasuke can re-enact the Sage vs. Mom fight and this time "end the cycle of violence" where they change the way people use ninjutsu or whatever making the original Hokage role kind of useless.

 

OK I must have must understood the explanation. I thought Obito was taking mostly about having his mind overwhelmed by the Rinnegan. @Afro I guess Nagato ended up in the chair because the actual Rinnegan techniques required too much chakra and vitality which obviously Nagato lacked.
