Any good Akatsuki!Naruto stories floating around lately? One can only read Houses of the Holy so many times.

Part 2 of LT2000's Nine Tailed Serpent wasn't bad for its time (though is abandoned).

It's taken 300k words, but maneyan's Naruto: Ouroboros is heading there.

 

How does Ouroboros count as Akatsuki!Naruto?

...When Naruto returned to Konoha, part of the deal he'd struck with his father was that if it came to it he'd take the blame for his sister's forbidden training, he'd go missing nin, and then he'd infiltrate the Akatsuki since they needed someone on the inside. Then later there was a flash-forward scene where he stabs his father.

It seemed pretty clear where it was going, but if it's since veered off in a different direction, I apologize.

Signs starts out great, but I don't like some of the decisions the author makes later on in regards to Naruto's development.

the whole 'make a wish every time you kill someone' bullshit alone drops the story down a full point. That idea is just full on retarded.

Best Akatsuki!Naruto fic I have read till now. Even though title is in capital.

 

Just reading the summary makes me want to stop. Sharingan (and Mokuton, I'm guessing) can't control bijuu...Kurama name change just cause. One paragraph in and the caretakers at the orphanage are treating lil Naruto like shit...little further...and he's being poisoned by a nurse after receiving a beating from the villagers.

 

Sounds like something good if it was 2008.

 

I missed 2008 so this is a new fad for me.

 

Go read fics from between 05-08 and prepare to have your mind blown.

 

Just don't suggest them here please.

 

Do you have any in particular that you'd recommend. Preferably ones that are complete.
