I wanted to bounce that reasoning off you to see what you think about it. Do you disagree that it clears him, and why?

I've been watching Monochrome's profile and knew she was still in the sorting hat. mbond99 has no excuse.

 

The last sentence I like and makes sense. I'll keep an eye on them for now, but are still pretty likely town. I'm getting a pretty good townread on Delphine and well obviously nothing on mbond, but will give him a town nudge due to the more scummy activity of other players.

 

Disagree, since you could argue the other way just as easily (I would work twice as hard if I were on my own here) and there are slots who could be interpreted as crumbling or don't fit the picture (Citrus, Snowvon, whichever of Dermon/burkion isn't your slot).

 

Is this a possible tell?

You don't have a mentor and you should be working through the game alone with only the board to help you? So why aren't you working twice as hard?

As for Citrus, why would it clear him? Let's look at it from a scum mentality: Bringing up that scum have no pregame chat would make the scum seem more powerless than they are, which is smart to do in a game where odds are already against you.
Once caught on your lie, you publicly ask the mod to prove you wrong. And he does. After a mishap.
This could happen to Town too, except I'm not sure Town would have brought it up at all, forcing it into the conversation as it was.

Sloth: Both scum within Citrus, Snowvon, mbond99, Monochrome. Tentatively liking Monochrome so far.

 

I do and don't find it weird. It depends on context. If scum wasn't suspected of being scum because of current town plays, it'd be a good scum play to kill a null read and continue to let town sink themselves. However Citrus isn't really posting a read justifying that null kill or a readwall that justifies it.

Something I didn't like from Atum on D1 is that in #485 he thinks ika's possible wolf (or at least antitown) for tunneling on Maiden and Snowvon as wolfreads and not questioning a variety of people, but in #602 says that [if] "Maiden flips town, my next suspect for scum would be ika, for the reasons I've already said and for changing his suspicions from Snow to Maiden really quick." Doesn't add up to me; can you explain?

I also think it's weird that he posted a Maiden case after the flip - I get that Sloth asked him for a case, but I'd find it surprising if he'd bother being that detailed once it's already Twilight as town.

Dermon was in a witch hunt game a few months back, as I already said. He was pretty strong in that game (and flipped town) and it makes be think he's holding back this game (also such little activity/scum hunting today)

As a note, I've noticed I struggle with reading people who buddy me/give town cases on me and would generally prefer it if people just didn't mention me if they think I'm town.
