I remember when we had that scene at Craster's where they burned dead crows and Sam noted that the bodies smelled like fried pork and I was okay with that. Latter in the books we have a scene where Sam is undressing and I felt like crying, all the while my stomach was roiling at the abomination of it all.

 

Over the course of hundreds of years of patrols, yeah, they probably have accumulated a decent number of weapons. Probably not all in the finest working order, but certainly still useable.

Say, on casting expediency alone. They have a Martell who is already loved by the audience and finding an actress, actor to play the part of Arianne, Doran will put more strain on the budget. And say what you want about Doran, it'd take someone really good to pull off his character. It's not easy being a somewhat 'badass' cripple on wheelchair.

You know what'd be fucking amazing? That Tyrion picks Jaime (if it were possible, which isn't due to him being in the Kingsguard) to be his champion. I imagine both Cersei and Tywin would shit their pants.

She's a Cersei in the making, as far as her scheming and plotting goes. I just wish Dorne would get utterly fucked and ransacked for once.

 

I'd like to see Doran turn to be nothing more than hot air. All talk and inner fantasies all these supposed scheming he did and... so far nothing.

Yeah, they already established it's going to be Oberyn and the Mountain. The title of the eighth episode is "The Mountain and the Viper".

 

I honestly don't remember much about the guy. I remember more stuff about Areo Hotah than Doran.

Personally, I laughed like hell when I read about her pursuing Renly as a possible husband in her youth. But yeah, the Myrcella plan, and including Gerold Dayne in it... I mean, if you got someone like that goes around saying "Men call me Darkstar, and I am of the night," as your ally it's time to start reconsidering where you went wrong (in Arianne's case being conceived in the first place).

The shock value is why I brought it up in the first place, I know Jaime's no longer capable to fight well.

Doran was build as this really savvy player. Smart, careful, patient and discerning, you know dangerous. What we saw so far fails to live up to it.
